Hosted By Makeup Expert and YouTube Star Kandee Johnson, Show Features Episode Recaps and Exclusive Interviews

Digital Show Serves as Companion to GSN's New Body Painting Series "Skin Wars"

August 5, 2014 (Santa Monica, CA) - GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the launch of SKIN WARS: THE NAKED TRUTH WITH KANDEE JOHNSON, a weekly online companion show featuring recaps and exclusive interviews related to GSN's new highly anticipated TV series SKIN WARS. Debuting on Door3 - GSN's new YouTube channel targeted toward 18-25 year-olds - the show will be hosted by transformational makeup guru and YouTube star, Kandee Johnson, beginning Wednesday, August 6 at 10:00pm ET/PT. Each week, a new episode will debut immediately following the network airing of SKIN WARS on GSN. SKIN WARS: THE NAKED TRUTH can be found at YouTube.com/officialdoor3.

Each of the eight online episodes will be a combination of highlights from that night's SKIN WARS, commentary from Johnson about the episode and an exclusive "Skinterview" - often with the week's eliminated contestant. There will also be an online sweepstakes in which viewers will be asked to guess who will be eliminated next, and be given a chance to win prizes.

GSN's SKIN WARS, which debuts Wednesday, August 6 at 9:00pm ET/PT (8pm CT), is an hour-long competition show that seeks to find the most skillful, accomplished and versatile body painters in the country. The eight-episode series also marks television's first-ever body painting competition show. Hosted by actress Rebecca Romijn, the show also boasts an impressive panel of judges, including legendary entertainer and expert in transformation, RuPaul, and body painting icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina. The winner of the competition will receive a $100,000 cash prize, a one-year supply of paint and will be the featured guest artist at IMATS, the premiere body painting trade show in New York City.

The companion show, SKIN WARS: THE NAKED TRUTH WITH KANDEE JOHNSON, can be found at YouTube.com/officialdoor3. Launched in January, Door3 reinvents the notion of game shows for a younger generation. "Over the past six months, we've been quietly building a base of over 100,000 subscribers with our original programs for millennials, and this show and subject matter are a perfect fit," explains Jonathan Small, vice president, digital programming at GSN. "Kandee's expertise in the world of beauty, mixed with SKIN WARS' incredible visuals and the drama of each week's eliminations are all sure to bring an intense following from the show to our YouTube channel."

"SKIN WARS is an incredibly creative show," explains the host, Kandee Johnson. "I can't wait to share with our viewers these mind-blowing works of body art by some of the country's most talented body painters!"

SKIN WARS is executive produced by Michael Levitt of Michael Levitt Productions ("Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," "Ask Oprah's All Stars," Billboard Music Awards), Jill Goularte, Colleen Sands and Rebecca Romijn. Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina also serve as producers.
