KILLS, THE (Starz, New!) - Richard House's political conspiracy thriller novel - about "the global manhunt for a British mercenary who goes on the run after stealing $50 million from an American reconstruction project in Iran" - is being developed as a drama at the pay channel and the BBC. SO WHERE WERE WE (ABC, New!) - Matt Tarses ("The Goldbergs") is looking to import the Israeli comedy, which "centers on a husband who just wants to spend the day at home, but whose wife can't sit still. So they compromise and go out. In a new location every week, the husband's small acts of rebellion or errors in judgment or bad decisions snowball toward disaster." The single-camera project, which has a penalty attached, is set up at the Sony Pictures Television-based FanFare with the company's Jamie Tarses also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
