Past Celebrity Dancers Will Visit the Mirrorball Along the Tour Where Fans Can Enter to Win a
Pair of Tickets to the "Dancing with the Stars" Premiere on September 15th
"Good Morning America" host and "Dancing with the Stars" alum Cameron Mathison will be traveling with the "Dancing with the Stars" Mirrorball Trophy across the country as it makes its way from Times Square to the "DWTS" Ballroom in Los Angeles. The tour starts in Times Square in New York City on September 4th when the new celebrity cast is revealed live on "GMA." The trophy will then travel across America making stops in several cities. Fans are invited to visit the Mirrorball Trophy along the tour where they can see a past "Dancing with the Stars" contestant.
Additionally, "GMA's Shake It and Dance Mirror Ball Tour Contest" kicks off next week and lucky viewers can enter to win a trip for two to attend the "Dancing With the Stars" premiere in Los Angeles on September 15. The contest begins in Boston (Monday, Sept. 8), then Chicago (Tuesday, Sept. 9) and finally Houston (Wednesday, Sept. 10). In each city, there will be a ballroom-themed dance party for 300 people. Students and instructors from Arthur Murray will teach the audience a 30 to 45 second routine using various ballroom techniques. Three audience members at each venue will be randomly selected from the audience to compete--recreating the dance routine they were taught live on the air. A former "DWTS" celebrity contestant will judge their dance moves and pick a winner in each city. Celebrity guests include Gold-medal Olympic winner Aly Raisman, reigning "Dancing with the Stars" champion Meryl Davis and Mirrorball holder J.R. Martinez.
