NEW YORK RANGERS GOALIE HENRIK LUNDQVIST TO VISIT CBS's "LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN," MONDAY, SEPT. 8
New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist gives a preview of the "Blueshirts'" upcoming 2014-2015 NHL season when he visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Monday, Sept. 8 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Also known to fans as "King Henrik," the Swedish-born Lundqvist has played for the Rangers since 2005. During the 2011-2012 season, he won the prestigious Vezina Trophy, which is awarded annually to the NHL goaltender judged to be best at the position. Among his many records, Lundqvist is the only goaltender in NHL history to record at least 30 wins in each of his first seven seasons, and has recorded the most wins (309) and most shutouts (50) by a New York Rangers goaltender. The NHL opens the 2014-15 regular season on Oct. 8, and Lundqvist and the Rangers begin their schedule in St. Louis on Oct. 9. On Oct. 12, the Rangers play their home opener at Madison Square Garden in New York City against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Also visiting the LATE SHOW Monday, Sept. 8 are talk show host and comedian Bill Maher and musical guests Spoon.
