DISH (ABC, New!) - "Sex and the City" alumna Cindy Chupack has sold a semi-autobiographical comedy to the Alphabet about "three female friends in Venice, CA - one single, one married, one a single mother - who meet once a week at a restaurant called Dish to dish about life, love, career, and the myth of having it all." ABC Studios-based Dark Toy Entertainment is behind the single-camera project, with the company's Karey Burke and Todd Holland also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
FUNHOUSE (ABC, New!) - Fred Goss ("Sons & Daughters") is back in business with the Alphabet for a new comedy about Jack Babbit, "who kidnaps his estranged father from a nursing home along with his 24-hour male nurse and brings them to his home. This upsets the already chaotic existence between Jack, his wife, three kids and extended family but ultimately works as a catalyst of self-discovery and what they all mean to each other." The project, which is based on a true story and has a put pilot commitment, is set up at ABC Studios with Mandeville Films and Television's David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks likewise executive producing. HALF FULL (FOX, New!) - Matthew Nicklaw has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "a newlywed couple forced to put on hold their dream of moving to New York City because of impending (unexpected) parenthood. Instead, they have no choice but to stay at home in 'beautiful' Agawam, Mass., keeping themselves within a 5-mile radius of the husband's five bitter older siblings." Warner Bros. Television is behind the half-hour with Vandalia Films' Jennifer Garner and Juliana Janes executive producing and producing, respectively, and Nicklaw serving as a co-executive producer. (THR.com)
HINDSIGHT (VH1; W: Emily Fox; D: Michael Trim) - Jessy Hodges, John Patrick Amedori, Drew Sidora, Collins Pennie and Adam Herschman have all been cast in the upcoming drama, about Becca (Laura Ramsey), "who on the day of her wedding in 2015, wakes up in 1995, faced with the opportunity to change the direction of her life from that point forward." Hodges will play Andy's (Nick Clifford) girlfriend Melanie Morelli; with Amedori as Jamie Brady, "Becca's devil-may-care younger brother and a love interest for Lolly (Sarah Goldberg)"; Sidora as Paige Hill, "a former child actress who now works at Becca and Lolly's local bar while continuing to audition for acting roles in pursuit of a big break"; Pennie as Xavier; and Herschman as Sebastian, "a malcontent film snob who manages the video store where Lolly works." IF WE'RE NOT MARRIED BY 30 (CBS, New!) - "The Big Bang Theory" co-star Melissa Rauch and her husband/writing partner, Winston Rauch, have booked a new multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "a guy who comes to collect on a pre-teen promise made by his childhood best friend - whom he hasn't seen in more than a decade." Said effort comes from Warner Bros. Television with the Rauches serving as co-executive producers. (THR.com)
IN SECURITY (ABC, New!) - Annabel Oakes ("Awkward") has sold a half-hour comedy to the Alphabet about "four very un-Charlie's-Angels-like female bodyguards/private investigators whose invisibility in society makes their jobs easier - and everything else harder." She'll write and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television-based project alongside director Phil Traill and Kaplan Perrone Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone. (THR.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - ABC Family has passed on the tennis-themed drama pilot "Unstrung," while there is no decision yet on rehab-themed "Recovery Road" (Deadline.com); recent "Growing Up Fisher" alum Jenna Elfman has inked a talent holding deal with 20th Century Fox Television (Deadline.com); Tina Casciani is bound for "Jane the Virgin" as Melissa De La Vega, "a telenovela star and ex-wife and manager of Rogelio (Jaime Camil)" (Deadline.com); Ryan Hansen will guest on The CW's "iZOMBIE" as "a charming, uncomplicated golden boy and pro snowboarder who is paid handsomely to put his face on things" (EW.com); rappers Kid Cudi and Method Man will both visit an upcoming episode of "Scorpion" (EW.com); Valorie Curry and Demetri Martin are both likewise bound for "House of Lies" (TVLine.com); and Christian Camargo will visit "Elementary" as "Joan's former medical colleague as well as her ex-boyfriend" (TVLine.com).
