NOLA HART (ABC, New!) - Donald Todd ("Mind Games") is back in business with the Alphabet, this time for a new drama about "a woman who wakes up in an airport with complete amnesia and hires a dysfunctional father-son detective agency to find out who she is. When to her own surprise she shows near-genius detective skills, the guys hire the woman to help them as they take on her ever-deepening missing person case." Chapter Eleven's Kyle Killen and Scott Pennington will also serve as executive producers on the 20th Century Fox Television-based project, which has a penalty attached. (Deadline.com)


SHAKESPEARE'S SISTERS (The CW, New!) - Writer Scott Sullivan ("NCIS: Los Angeles") and director Brad Silberling ("Jane the Virgin") are set to team for a period drama "set in 1590s London and chronicles a young Will Shakespeare's rise to prominence as he finds himself caught in a deadly conflict among three witches and the most powerful woman in the world, Queen Elizabeth." The CBS Television Studios-based hour will be executive produced by Silberling, Mark Harmon, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum with Sullivan as a co-executive producer. (THR.com)


WIRE IN THE BLOOD (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet is looking to import Val McDermid's British psychological crime drama of the same name, "a unique character-driven procedural which exposes the gaps between good and evil, our public and private selves and the psychological limits of human behavior." A.M. Homes will pen the domestic take - about "when detective Elizabeth Chase struggles to evade the succession of women in New York City who have turned up dead, she recruits the help of unconventional clinical psychologist Dr. Tony Hill, who has a talent for catching killers before they are able to strike again" - for ABC Studios, Endemol Studios and Mandeville Films. Randy Taraborrelli's best-selling book "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe" (Deadline.com); Adam Pally and his newly formed Clone Wolf Productions has inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios (Deadline.com); Hilarie Burton will guest on "Forever" as "a dominatrix who becomes a murder suspect when one of her clients turns up dead" (EW.com); Malese Jow has been cast as Linda Park, "a quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News," on "The Flash" (THR.com); Sarah Jane Morris will visit "Hawaii Five-0" as "a happily married wife, mother and surgeon who has a most unusual day at the office as the episode plays out" (TVLine.com); and Billy Burke will reprise his role as Phillip Stroh from "The Closer" on spin-off series "Major Crimes" in the final two episodes of the season (TVLine.com).
