GSN ANNOUNCES SEASON TWO PICK-UP OF ORIGINAL HIT SERIES "IDIOTEST"
Comedian Ben Gleib Returns to Host the 65-Episode Second Season
October 28, 2014, SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Coming off its most watched summer ever, GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today it has ordered a 65-episode second season of original hit series IDIOTEST, hosted by comedian Ben Gleib. This marks the third consecutive new series pick-up for the network this year, following matchmaking series IT TAKES A CHURCH and body painting competition show SKIN WARS, hosted by Rebecca Romijn.
The first season of IDIOTEST was seen by more than 12 million total viewers, nearly doubling the time period average (+82%) among W18-49 versus the year-to-date time period average.
"IDIOTEST'S fresh take on brain teasers has resulted in ratings success for GSN in every daypart, across all demographics" said Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive vice president, programming, GSN. "Our audience loves Ben Gleib's irreverent repartee with contestants on air and with fans online, and we are thrilled that he will continue to host the next 65 episodes."
IDIOTEST, based on the highly popular app game, gives two pairs of contestants the opportunity to face off in several rounds of rapid-fire questions that look deceptively simple, but whose answers actually require a keen eye, quick mind and heightened sense of logic. Every question involves a fun, colorful and often whimsical scene that tests observation and attention to detail as much it tests general knowledge.
IDIOTESTis produced by Little Wooden Boat Productions, Inc. Executive producers are Mark Cronin of Little Wooden Boat Productions, Adam Rosenblatt, Jamie Rosenblatt and Christian Horner of H2R Productions; Ryan Devlin and Shawn Greenson of He Shoots, He Scores Productions, and Larry Barron and Ryan Curtis. Ben Gleib serves as a producer on the series.
