AMERICAN MARRIAGE (ABC, New!) - Pamela Falk and Mike Ellis (The Wedding Planner) have booked a potential drama at the Alphabet about "the melding of two very different families as an unlikely couple, young and in love, move toward their big day and are forced to maneuver through their very different multi-cultural, multi-generational, dysfunctional and complex families." Ellen Pompeo and Laura Holstein are also on board to executive produce via their Calamity Jane banner for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
LEAGUE OF PAN (FOX, New!) - Andrew Miller ("The Secret Circle") has sold a new drama to the network billed as "a grounded, edgy, soapy thriller featuring updated versions of all favorite Neverland characters which picks up the Lost Boys 15 years after they left Neverland." 20th Century Fox Television-based Imagine Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo will also executive produce with newcomer Brian McCauley Johnson, who penned the original version of the script, receiving a producing credit. (Deadline.com)
MAMMA DALLAS (HBO, New!) - Mike White ("Enlightened") is back in business with the pay channel for a new comedy. No details were given about the project, other than White penned the script and plans to direct with production eyed for the first quarter of next year. (Deadline.com)
MARSHA GOES TO JAIL (FOX, New!) - Pamela Falk and Mike Ellis (The Wedding Planner) has set up a half-hour comedy at the network "inspired by the life of Ellis' mother, also named Marsha, as a substitute teacher assigned to a juvenile detention classroom." Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot will also executive produce via their Offspring Entertainment banner for Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
RISK (ABC, New!) - Jack Kenny ("Warehouse 13") is developing a new drama at the Alphabet about "what happens when the unruly Roche Agency - a family-run private investigation firm with looming financial problems - is forced to team up with Nikki Castaneda, a former national security agent who now owns a successful corporate investigation firm." The project is based on the French drama of the same name with Ian Sander and Kim Moses also executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television. (THR.com)
UNTITLED GEOFF STULTS PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Geoff Stults ("Enlisted") is attached to star in a new multi-camera comedy for the Eye about Martin "Marty" Booker, "firefighter, average Joe, ladies' man and three-time firehouse Beer Pong Olympics champion had no real ambition in life. But after a news crew films him saving two kids from a burning building and the clip goes viral, Marty is thrust into the limelight, becoming a national hero and getting himself elected mayor." Stults will also co-write the half-hour alongside Dave Whatley with Joe Port and Joe Wiseman serving as showrunners and Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz executive producing for Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios. UNTITLED KYRA SEDGWICK PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Emmy-winner Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer") is set to star in a potential single-camera comedy at the pay channel about Kate (Sedgwick) "who was a nun in the order of the Sisters of Mercy, San Mateo Chapter, but disillusioned by a lifetime of service to the church and a marriage she no longer believes in, she has walked out on everything she's known since the age of 17." Kari Lizer ("The New Adventures of Old Christine") is penning the project via her Warner Bros. Television-based Kari's Logo Here banner. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED NEAL BAER/DAN TRULY PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Neal Baer and Dan Truly ("Under the Dome") have sold a new drama to the Eye about "LA's female Director of Public Health who handles everything from large scale health scares from bad drugs or bio terrorism to irate celebs getting bad health ratings on their vanity restaurants." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SHAWN HOLLEY PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Lauren Schmidt ("Power") is developing a new drama at the Peacock about "a larger-than-life lawyer who possesses the unique ability to look beyond the first impressions and social biases against her clients and fight for their innocence even if the court of social opinion already has condemned them." The Universal Television-based project is inspired by the life of Los Angeles trial attorney Shawn Holley, who will executive produce alongside Schmidt and Working Title Television. (Deadline.com)
