REV RUN RETURNS FOR SEASON TWO OF HIS DIY NETWORK HIT SERIES "REV RUN'S RENOVATION" ON JANUARY 3
NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - December 11, 2014] The New Jersey home renovation of Joseph Simmons - best known as Rev Run from the iconic rap group, RUN DMC - continues in the second season of DIY Network's popular Rev Run's Renovation. Premiering Saturday, January 3, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Rev Run, his wife Justine, their kids Daniel (Diggy), Russell (Russy) and Miley, and a team of builders, pick up where they left off last season. This year, they tackle some major projects in their mansion, including a one-of-a-kind bowling alley, a rockin' pool house and a secret theater room.
"We get to share our family values with fans and other home renovation enthusiasts by letting people observe our home transformations," said Rev Run. "It's going to be a long road to get our house where we want it, but we're willing to work together and stick it out until we get there."
Rev and Justine have grand plans for their oversized and underused basement in the season premiere of Rev Run's Renovation. The couple and their team roll up their sleeves to transform their basement into the ultimate family fun zone that features a super-sleek bowling alley.
"The first season of Rev Run's Renovation was such a hit because it featured Rev and his family as they tackled a host of home renovation projects and dealt with all those obstacles and headaches that any homeowner can understand," said Allison Page, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network. "It really was an easy decision to work with the hip hop legend again and we look forward to chronicling his family's next big adventure as they keep on renovating."
Rev Run and Michael Lehman are executive producers of the series.
