BRIAN WILLIAMS TO ANCHOR NBC NEWS COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT OBAMA'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS AND THE REPUBLICAN RESPONSE

JANUARY 16, 2015 -- On Tuesday, January 20, NBC News will provide complete coverage and analysis of President Barack Obama's State of the Union address and the Republican response from Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA). The broadcast will begin at 9:00pm ET (6:00pm PT) across the NBC television network and will stream live on NBCNews.com.
"NBC Nightly News" anchor and managing editor Brian Williams will anchor live from Washington, DC, joined on set by "Meet the Press" moderator and NBC News political director Chuck Todd, NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell, NBC News senior White House correspondent Chris Jansing, and NBC News senior political analyst Joe Scarborough. The coverage will also feature NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker, "Noticiero Telemundo" anchor Jose Diaz-Balart, and NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Kelly O'Donnell inside the House chamber.
Beginning at 8:45pm ET, Brian Williams and the NBC News team will host a pre-speech live stream on NBCNews.com. Throughout the speech, Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell, Chris Jansing and others will answer viewers' questions on the Meet the Press Facebook page.
On Twitter, @NBCNews will live-tweet the address and the NBC News political unit will post real-time analysis using the hashtag #NBCPolitics. The network will also feature curated social media reporting on air from NBC News journalists and notable voices.
