SYFY NAMES KELLY GARNER AS NEW VICE PRESIDENT, ALTERNATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION
NEW YORK - February 10, 2015 - Syfy today announced the appointment of Kelly Garner to the position of Vice President, Alternative Development and Production.
Garner, who was most recently Vice President, Development & Original Programming for Pilgrim Studios, has produced numerous popular unscripted series during his career, from Last Comic Standing, Ax Men, The Contender and Black Gold to Rockstar: INXS.
Among his new responsibilities, Garner will develop and oversee unscripted alternative programming to expand upon Syfy's current roster of unscripted hits.
Based in the channel's Los Angeles office, Garner will report to Heather Olander, Senior Vice President, Alternative Development and Production, Syfy.
In making the announcement, Olander said: "With Kelly's diverse experience, record of success and self-proclaimed fan boy status, he is terrific addition to our strong programming team."
Garner graduated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
