46 PERCENTERS, THE (ABC/WBT; W: Ellen Kreamer & Sherry Bilsing-Graham; D: Andy Ackerman) - Jason Antoon ("No Ordinary Family") has been tapped for a role in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about the 46 percent of the population who choose to stay married, told through the POV of three couples. He'll play Hari, Kiri's (Nazneen Contractor) calm, centered and wise husband. In addition, sitcom veteran Andy Ackerman has signed on to direct. (Deadline.com)
48 HOURS 'TIL MONDAY (FOX/Universal; W: Charlie Grandy; D: TBA) - Malcolm-Jamal Warner has joined the cast of the single-camera comedy pilot, about one husband's (Rob Riggle) desperate struggle to not let every weekend go completely to hell. He's on board as Dr. Craig Ellis, "the perfect father whose weekend plans always show up Charlie's." Jane Curtin, Merrin Dungey, Kyla Kenedy and Sarah Chalke also star. (Deadline.com)
ADVERSARIES, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: David Zabel; D: TBA) - Christine Lahti has snagged a role on the drama pilot, about Charlie Fisher (Terry O'Quinn ), the patriarch of a New York legal dynasty who becomes embroiled in a trial of his own, and his federal prosecutor daughter (yet to be cast) must decide which side she will fight on. She'll play his estranged wife Katherine, whose wit and savvy attitude cover a certain amount of pain. (Deadline.com)
ADVOCATE, THE (ABC/WBT; W: Sheldon Turner; D: Michael M. Robin) - Kim Raver ("Grey's Anatomy") has booked the title role on the drama pilot, about Francis "Frankie" Reese, a tough, resourceful and at the top of her game type-A business woman, who, after a medical scare in which she was dangerously misdiagnosed, leaves her career behind to become a relentless advocate for anyone caught in the chaotic and ever-changing maze that is modern medicine. ANGEL FROM HELL (CBS/CBSP; W: Tad Quill; D: TBA) - Jane Lynch ("Glee") is the first to board the comedy pilot, about the unlikely friendship formed between two women, one of whom claims to be the guardian angel of the other. She'll play the angel in question, "the larger-than-life, brassy and flamboyant Amy." (Deadline.com)
CATCH, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: Helen Gregory, Jennifer Schuur & Kate Atkinson; D: Julie Anne Robinson) - Mireille Enos, Jacky Ido and Jay Hayden are the first to board the drama pilot, about Alice Martin, a gutsy female forensic accountant who exposes fraud for a living and has finally found fulfillment both at work and in love until a case comes along that threatens to turn her world upside down. Enos will play said role with Ido as "FBI agent Thomas Delgado, who's handling Alice's case against Kieran Lynch," Alice's fiancé; and Hayden as James McGrath, "Alice's right hand and left-brained man at work." CHEERLEADER DEATH SQUAD (The CW/CBSP; W: Daniel Truly, Marc Cherry & Neal Baer; D: Mark Waters) - Actress Gia Mantegna and director Mark Waters have both signed onto the drama pilot, about a disgraced CIA agent-turned-teacher at an elite D.C. prep school who trains a select few students to be his eyes and ears into the world of international espionage and help him earn his way back into the agency. She'll play the smart and liberal Grace, one of said students. (Deadline.com, 2/28)
DOUBT (CBS/CBSP; W: Joan Rater & Tony Phelan; D: Adam Bernstein) - KaDee Strickland ("Secrets & Lies") has booked the lead role on the drama pilot, about Sadie Barrow, a smart, successful 30-something defense attorney who shockingly falls for one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime. In addition, Adam Bernstein has signed on to helm the hour, which also stars Dule Hill, Elliott Gould, Kobi Libii and Laverne Cox. (Deadline.com)
FRANKENSTEIN (FOX/20th; W: Rand Ravich; D: Michael Cuesta) - Rob Kazinsky ("True Blood") has scored the title role on the drama pilot, about Ray Pritchard, a morally corrupt retired cop, who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. He'll play said fellow, who, now younger and stronger, will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose. Adhir Kalyan also stars. (Deadline.com)
MINORITY REPORT (FOX/20th; W: Max Borenstein; D: Mark Mylod) - Wilmer Valderrama has been cast in the drama pilot, a small screen follow up to the 2002 film, in which Dash (Stark Sands), one of the three Precogs - still haunted by visions the future - meets Lara Vega (Meagan Good), a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift. He's set as Will Blake, "a new police detective at the precinct who fills in for Vega when she's out on leave, and when Vega sizes him up, she decides she doesn't like him." Daniel London, Laura Regan and Li Jun Li also star. (Deadline.com)
SHANNARA (MTV; W: Al Gough & Miles Millar; D: Jonathan Liebesman) - James Remar ("Dexter") is the latest to be cast in the upcoming drama, based on Terry Brooks's best-selling fantasy novels about the Shannara family, whose descendants are empowered with ancient magic and whose adventures continuously reshape the future of the world. He'll play Cephelo, "the leader of the Rovers who roam the Four Lands." Aaron Jakubenko, Austin Butler, Brooke Williams, Daniel MacPherson, Ivana Baquero, John Rhys-Davies, Manu Bennett, Marcus Vanco and Poppy Drayton also star. (Deadline.com)
SHARING (NBC/Universal; W: Jeremy Bronson; D: TBA) - Greta Lee ("New Girl") has boarded the pilot, a workplace comedy about the different groups of people working side by side in a shared office space. She'll play Heidi Salazar, "the face of Giftr. She's desperate for the app to make Wired magazine so she doesn't have to go back to her old accounting job." Stephen Schneider and Jack Carpenter also star. (Deadline.com)
SUPERSTORE (NBC/Universal; W: Justin Spitzer; D: Ruben Fleischer) - Colton Dunn, Nico Santos and Mark McKinney are the latest to board the single-camera comedy pilot, about a group of employees at a big box store and examines love, friendship, and the beauty of every day moments. Dunn will play Garrett, "the often-sarcastic narrator of the piece who frequently shares his philosophical insights and wry comments over the store intercom"; with Santos as Mateo, "a brown-noser from an impoverished background with 11 brothers and sisters, many of whom are incarcerated"; and McKinney as Glenn, "the intensely religious store manager of Cloud 9 who isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer." UNTITLED ASEEM BATRA PROJECT (NBC/Universal; W: Aseem Batra; D: Betsy Thomas) - Christine Woods ("Hello Ladies") is set to star opposite Michael Cassidy in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about best friends Dale (Cassidy) and Georgie (Woods) whose relationship is upended when he starts dating the "perfect" woman. She'll play the aforementioned Georgie. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED DANA KLEIN PROJECT (FOX/20th; W: Dana Klein; D: Pamela Fryman) - Nancy Lenehan and Izzy Watts have both landed roles in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Ellen (Jenna Elfman), a working mom who is in constant competition with her perfect, stay-at-home sister-in-law, Amy (Liza Lapira). The former will play Anita, "mother to Matt (Matt Letscher) and Jack (Brian Austin Green) who is often the unwitting participant in a battle of wills between her sons' two wives." Watts then is set as Frankie, "Ellen and Matt's daughter who is brutally honest and annoyed from the time she wakes up, she is not a people-pleaser." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MONICA POTTER PROJECT (NBC/WBT; W: Sherry Bilsing-Graham & Ellen Kreamer; D: Andy Ackerman) - Allie MacDonald and Cristine Prosperi are the latest additions to the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Bridget (Monica Potter), a woman who juggles her busy family life as well as her three ex-husbands (Donald Faison, Eddie Cibrian and Rory Scovel), which proves to be difficult when she starts dating again. MacDonald will play Heather, "girlfriend to Jason (Cibrian). Jealous of the relationship Jason still has with ex-wife Bridget, Heather is not above spying on Bridget's house when Jason is there and will often pop up unannounced and uninvited." Prosperi then is set as Jessica, Bridget and Jason's daughter. Josh Hopkins also stars. Additionally, Andy Ackerman is set to direct. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED NBA PROJECT (ABC/ABCS; W: Casey Johnson & David Windsor; D: TBA) - Matthew Glave will round out the cast of the single-camera comedy pilot, set in the world of the NBA about a rookie, Mo (Blondy Baruti), who doesn't speak English and a translator, Jason (Skylar Astin), who doesn't speak basketball. He'll play Bob Bloomberg, "Jason's somewhat disappointed and disapproving father, often referring openly to his son as a doormat." Ving Rhames, Jami Gertz and Laura Steinel also star. UNVEILED (NBC/Universal; W: John Sakmar & Kerry Lenhart; D: TBA) - Mouzam Makkar has been cast in the pilot, a drama following an ensemble of flawed guardian angels who intervene in the lives of those who find themselves facing crisis in an attempt to restore their faith and, often, save their lives. She'll play Gabrielle Horne, "a strong and smart guardian angel dedicated to helping people by way of calm guidance." Connie Nielsen, Liam McIntyre, Stephan James and Will Kemp also star.
