ABC FAMILY GIVES "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS" FANS THE REINS WITH THE CREATION OF A NEVER-BEEN-DONE-BEFORE FAN-DRIVEN MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Marketing Campaign Will Be for the Season-Six Launch of the Hit Series
Burbank, CA (March 23, 2015) - With Season Five of the ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars" coming to a close, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24th, ABC Family is already looking ahead to the launch of Season Six. The network is doing something that has never been done before: letting the fans co-create the 10-week marketing campaign. From designing the Season Six key art to voting for magazines and websites they think ABC Family should use to promote the show, to creating promos and gifs for use in the social space, PLL fans will play a major role in developing the campaign.
Starting tomorrow during the Season Five finale airing at 8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT, the multi-phase campaign will kick off with a snipe and promo, inviting fans to submit their art to PrettyLittleCampaign.com for the chance to have it featured in ABC Family's summer ad campaign - including a one-page ad in the June/July issue of Seventeen Magazine.
Each week leading up to the Season Six premiere, fans can go to PrettyLittleCampaign.com to vote on different aspects of the marketing campaign, including where PLL ads will appear on TV, in magazines and on websites. They can also participate in multiple opportunities to create the tactics that will be used in the campaign - including promos, social graphics and gifs that will be used to promote the summer premiere in the digital space.
