STAMFORD, Conn. - Mar. 25, 2015 - NBC presents the 2015 World Figure Skating Championships from Shanghai in primetime this Saturday, Mar. 28, at 8 p.m. ET with the ladies' and ice dance competitions. Coverage continues Sunday, April 12, at 3 p.m. ET on NBC with the men's and pairs' competitions, as well as highlights from the ladies' and ice dance events.
The competition features Sochi Olympians Ashley Wagner, who won her third U.S. title in January; 2014 U.S. champion and 2015 U.S. silver medalist Gracie Gold; 2014 U.S. silver medalist Polina Edmunds; 2015 U.S. champion Jason Brown; and 2015 U.S. ice dance champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates.
2015 European champion Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva and 2014 Hilton HHonors Skate America champion Yelena Radionova of Russia; reigning Olympic and World champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan; and two-time World bronze medalist Javier Fernandez of Spain highlight the international field.
COMMENTATORS: NBC Sports Group's lead figure skating commentary team of three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir, 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon will host coverage. Tracy Wilson will report from the Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai.
