Tonight, Ryan Seacrest announced the Top Eight finalists on AMERICAN IDOL XIV - Quentin Alexander, Clark Beckham, Joey Cook, Nick Fradiani, Jax, Tyanna Jones, Qaasim Middleton and Rayvon Owen. It was revealed that Owen and Daniel Seavey were in the bottom two and America had the chance to save one of them with the IDOL Fan Save via Twitter. Owen received the most votes from the IDOL Fan Save and therefore continues in the competition, while Seavey, from Vancouver, WA, was eliminated.

Next week, Wednesday, April 8 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), Florida Georgia Line will mentor and perform on the "Billboard Hits"-themed show. In addition, Jason Derulo will also be a mentor, and will perform his new single, "Want to Want Me." There also will be a special performance of "Trouble," with Iggy Azalea, featuring Jennifer Hudson.

Florida Georgia Line is continuing their momentum with the release of their Gold-certified sophomore album, "Anything Goes" (Republic Nashville), soaring to a No. 1 debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 and Billboard Top Country Albums charts. Fueled by their scorching new single, "Sippin' On Fire," and consecutive No. 1 hits - sizzling "Sun Daze" and Platinum-certified "Dirt" - music critics and fans alike have embraced the superstar duo's fresh sound. FGL has skyrocketed to stardom becoming the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in achieving four back-to-back, multi-week No. 1 singles; breaking the record for longest No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart; and selling more than 21 million tracks worldwide of their 2X Platinum debut "Here's To The Good Times" and "Anything Goes." In addition to collaborating across genres with sensations like Nelly and Jason Derulo, FGL racked up 13 industry awards throughout 2014 and closed out the epic year topping four of Billboard's year-end charts and leading Forbes "30 Under 30" list. The accolades continue to pour in as FGL notched five ACM Award nominations - including their first nod for the prestigious and fan-voted Entertainer of the Year - in addition to Vocal Duo of the Year, Single Record of the Year ("Dirt") and two nods for Vocal Event of the Year ("This Is How We Roll," featuring Luke Bryan; and The Cadillac Three's "The South," featuring Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli). The reigning ACM and CMA Vocal Duo of the Year are taking their signature show all across North America with their headline "Anything Goes Tour 2015." Five years in from making his debut in pop music, Jason Derulo has sold more than 45 million records worldwide and amassed almost 1.5 billion views on his YouTube Channel. "Wiggle," featuring Snoop Dogg, is his eighth song to reach the Top 10 on the Top 40 format and his ninth Platinum-selling single. Derulo's ubiquitous hit "Talk Dirty," featuring 2 Chainz, was his most successful track to date, having sold more than six million singles worldwide with a music video that has garnered almost 250 million views on YouTube. His fifth single from the "Talk Dirty" album, "Trumpets," is his fifth Platinum song off of the album, putting him in an elite category of hit-making artists to accomplish the feat. The Miami native's career started when he was 16 years old and began writing songs for artists including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Diddy, Sean Kingston, Cassie and Danity Kane. He was the TEEN CHOICE Awards 2014 "Choice Single Male" winner and also received two additional nominations, including "Choice Summer Song" and "Choice Summer Music Star: Male." His video for "Talk Dirty" also earned him two additional nominations at the MTV Music Video Awards for "Best Pop Video" and "Best Choreography."

Grammy and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson is an extraordinary talent. Her highly acclaimed album, "JHUD," was released in September 2014 in the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200, and just recently garnered her a fifth Grammy Award nomination. Hudson won her first Grammy for Best R&B Album with her self-titled debut. Most recently, Hudson was featured on Iggy Azalea's "Trouble," from Azalea's "Reclassified" and also on Gorgon City's No. 1 hit track, "Go All Night," off their new album, "Sirens." Hudson won an Academy Award for her role in "Dreamgirls," an adaptation of the Broadway musical. Her breakout film performance also earned her a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a BAFTA and an NAACP Image Award. Additional film credits include "Sex and the City," "The Secret Life of Bees," "Winnie Mandela," "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete" and "Black Nativity." She also recently was featured on FOX's hit drama, EMPIRE.
