NEW YORK, April 15, 2015 - Nate Bargatze is downright magical in the Comedy Central world premiere of "Nate Bargatze: Full Time Magic," debuting on Saturday, May 2 at Midnight ET/PT. For fans that can't wait for Bargatze's new material, the special will be available on April 27 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.
Filmed at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City, the hilarious and charming "Full Time Magic" is Bargatze's first one-hour stand-up special. Despite being a married man with a young daughter, Bargatze is not immune to embarrassing situations. The Tennessee native explains how it's much worse to get locked out of a hotel room naked and drunk late in life rather than during his college days. As a laid-back southerner, it's hard to imagine Bargatze has been met with the prospect of fighting his wife's ex-boyfriend on a boat, been at risk of snake bites in Honduras and was almost caught in a brawl at a McDonald's.
Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature preview clips from the special. Fans can follow Bargatze on Twitter at @natebargatze, and tweet using the hashtag #FullTimeMagic to join the social chatter around the special.
"Nate Bargatze: Full Time Magic" will be available on May 3 in the Comedy Central App to fans that sign in via their cable or satellite provider. The Comedy Central App is available for free for iOS on the App Store, on Chromecast, for Android on the Google Play store, and for Xbox One.
The extended and uncensored version of "Nate Bargatze: Full Time Magic" will be available for download on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Google Play on May 5. The digital album also will be available on that date on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Spotify and all streaming services.
Originally from Old Hickory, TN, Bargatze is a stand-up comedian following in the entertainment business footsteps of his dad, a former clown turned world class magician. He was one of the first comedians to perform on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" last year and will appear again on April 21. He has also appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" twice, "Conan" four times, on "@midnight with Chris Hardwick" three times, and has had his own "Comedy Central Presents." He has written for Spike TV's "Video Game Awards" and received critical acclaim at the Montreal Comedy Festival multiple years. He has performed at Bonnaroo, SXSW, and Oddball Comedy Festival, and went on tour with Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour last year. Bargatze has also performed for the troops in Iraq and Kuwait five times. His debut comedy album "Yelled at by a Clown" reached #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and stayed on Billboard's Top Ten Comedy Chart for weeks. Bargatze was also featured as one of Esquire's Best New Comedians by Jim Gaffigan and as one of Marc Maron's comedians to watch in Rolling Stone and Paste Magazine, and as #1 of Vulture's 50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015.
