"AN AMERICAN IN PARIS" AND "FUN HOME" LEAD WITH NOMINATIONS IN 12 CATEGORIES EACH

TONY AWARD WINNERS KRISTIN CHENOWETH AND ALAN CUMMING TO HOST THE TELECAST LIVE FROM RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL IN NEW YORK CITY

NEW YORK - Tony Award nominations were announced today for THE 69TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS(R), airing live on Sunday, June 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. Nominations were announced live on CBS THIS MORNING by actress Mary Louise Parker and actor Bruce Willis. "An American in Paris" and "Fun Home" lead the nominations this year, with both productions vying for Tony Awards in 12 categories.

Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will host the 2015 Tony Awards for the first time, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

"Kristin and Alan are two of the brightest stars on any stage," said Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS Entertainment. "Not only are they amazing TV stars, but their Broadway credentials and ability to perform live and command the stage for audiences is unparalleled. We could not be more excited to have them hosting this year's Tony Awards."

"As past Tony Award winners and Broadway favorites, Alan and Kristin are no strangers to the Radio City Music Hall stage. They both have a contagious charisma and share an electrifying excitement about Broadway that will translate to the fans watching at home, all around the world. We are thrilled to welcome them into the hosting role for the first time," said Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League and Heather Hitchens, President of the American Theatre Wing.

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is currently appearing on Broadway playing the glamorous film star Lily Garland in the Roundabout Theatre Company's "On the Twentieth Century." She may be most remembered by Broadway lovers for her origination of the role of Glinda the Good Witch in "Wicked," which earned her a Tony Award Nomination, and her Tony-winning performance in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." Her other stage credits include "Epic Proportions," "Promises, Promises," "Love, Loss and What I Wore," "Scapin," "Steel Pier," "Apple Tree," "Music in the Air" and "Stairway to Paradise." Chenoweth has performed to sold-out crowds around the world, with performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, London's Royal Albert Hall, Australia's Sydney Opera House and the Hollywood Bowl to which she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Chenoweth is also an inductee into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, as well as the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. She will next be seen in the Disney Channel's live-action original movie "Descendants" and was recently seen in "The Boy Next Door" and "Rio 2." Chenoweth received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on the television series "Pushing Daisies," and was nominated for two Emmy Awards for her work on the comedy series "Glee." Her additional television credits include "The West Wing," "American Idol" and "Project Runway," and she hosted the PBS Arts Fall Festival, which featured her own concert, "Kristin Chenoweth: Coming Home." In 2009, Chenoweth wrote a candid, comedic memoir, A Little Bit Wicked, which debuted on the New York Times bestseller list. This year, Chenoweth will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of live performances on stage or in the theatre.

Alan Cumming's work as Eli Gold on THE GOOD WIFE has earned the accomplished actor numerous accolades, including Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, Satellite Award and Critics Circle Award nominations. Earlier this year, Cumming reprised his Tony Award-winning role of the Emcee in the hit Broadway musical "Cabaret." Last season, he performed a sensational one-man production of "Macbeth" at the Barrymore Theater. Cumming's diverse career has found him performing at venues around the globe, including the Sydney Opera House; making back-to-back films with Stanley Kubrick and The Spice Girls; directing and starring in a musical condom commercial; creating voices of a Smurf, a goat and Hitler; entering upside-down and suspended by his ankles in a Greek tragedy (in the National Theatre of Scotland's "The Bacchae"); and recording an award-winning album of songs (plus a dance remix). In addition to his role on THE GOOD WIFE, Cumming serves as host of the television series "Masterpiece Mystery," and appears in the series "Web Therapy." Cumming has written for The New York Times, Newsweek, Harper's Bazaar and Out, has a bi-monthly column for Globe and Mail, and has written two books - Tommy's Tale and his New York Times bestselling memoir, Not My Father's Son. A tireless champion for LGBT civil rights and HIV/AIDS, Cumming serves on the Board of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and works closely with amfAR, The Trevor Project and the Ali Forney Center, to name a few. In 2009, he was made an OBE in the Queen's Honors List and by his homeland, Scotland, for which he was a vocal supporter of the YES for independence campaign. He has been awarded the Great Scot and Icon of Scotland awards, as well as recently having his portrait unveiled at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

Nominees for THE 69th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS(R) were selected by an independent committee of 33 theater professionals appointed by the Tony Awards Administration Committee. The 2015 Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The list of nominations follows.
