WHERE: Animal Planet (Check local listings for correct channel in your area)
WHY: In NORTH WOODS LAW, Animal Planet follows the true adventures of the elite Maine Warden Service, the nation's original guardians of the great outdoors. The game wardens' beat begins where the pavement ends, saving lives and fighting crime across the Pine Tree State's 18 million acres of rugged wilderness. Whether they're rescuing animals in distress, tracking poachers or chasing fugitives, the game wardens are never far from danger.
This season, the wardens investigate a slew of wildlife and criminal cases including illegal hunting, search warrant executions, illegal firearms and DUI arrests. But the wardens aren't on patrol just to catch the bad guys. When hikers or hunters vanish into the North Woods, the game wardens are responsible for locating and bringing them home safely.
