LOS ANGELES and LONDON - June 30, 2015 - CBS Studios International announced today that it has licensed first-window broadcast rights of ZOO with top broadcasters from around the world. The U.S. drama is produced by CBS Television Studios and is based on James Patterson's bestselling #1 novel of the same name.

"Two years ago, CBS created the summer event television genre, producing UNDER THE DOME, followed by EXTANT, with both generating a tremendous amount of interest in the U.S. and internationally," said Armando Nuñez, President and CEO, CBS Global Distribution Group. "Building on this success, we are thrilled to have ZOO join our roster of high-quality, scripted event programming, and we look forward to presenting the series to broadcast audiences around the world."

ZOO is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, the story becomes a race to unlock the mystery of the global pandemic before it's too late.

ZOO is produced by CBS Television Studios. Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Michael Katleman, James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen, will serve as executive producers.
