BAD COUPLE (Comedy Central, New!) - Flint Wainess and Noël Wells have scored a pilot order from the cable channel which "follows Flint and Noél, an inseparable, highly opinionated couple who constantly clash with modern social mores, making life difficult for friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and themselves." Wells will also star in the project, for which no other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
MONSTROPOLIS (ABC, New!) - Feature writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw V) have scored a put pilot commitment at the Alphabet for a new drama in which "monsters are real, living amongst the humans in the city of New Manhattan (aka Monstropolis). But now someone is killing monsters, and it is up to one disgraced detective to stop the killer... or become the next victim." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Carla Gugino has been tapped as the new female lead of Showtime's "Roadies," where she'll take over for the departing Christina Hendricks, while Tanc Sade has signed on as Christopher House, "the tortured songwriter and guitarist for the Staton-House band" (Deadline.com); Trevor Jackson has joined the cast of "American Crime" as Aaron Lacroix, "a standout student at an elite private school who finds himself at the center of a scandal involving the sexual assault of a fellow student" (Deadline.com); Christina Applegate is attached to star in a potential dramedy based on Kenneth Anger's book "Your Time Is Up" (Deadline.com);
