truTV's Impractical Jokers foursome - Joe, Sal, Q and Murr - today announced via social media that in celebration of their groundbreaking 100th episode, they will take on their most challenging dare yet: an epic high-wire walk five stories in the air above New York City during the show's first ever live punishment extravaganza. To prepare, the Jokers have called upon the expertise of Ringling Bros. Circus clown and "World's Greatest Dare Devil" Bello Nock, to provide training and tips on the art of successful tightrope walking. With multiple cameras positioned to capture every moment and New York City's South Street Seaport as the backdrop, the quartet known for challenging one another to do the most outrageous dares in publi c will attempt to outdo each other to see who can walk the farthest distance. Set to air Thursday, Sept. 3, at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT., the can't-miss Impractical Jokers Live Punishment Special will reveal which Joker will be the first to drop and who will hang on the longest to claim victory for their favorite charity.

Leading up to the live event, truTV will engage fans via social media by encouraging followers to tweet using #LivePunishment. Also, starting Aug. 13, fans can tweet their vote for which Joker they think will "walk the farthest," using #TeamMurr, #TeamJoe, #TeamQ, or #TeamSal. A poll will be featured on-air during the live broadcast, tabulating Twitter votes in real-time, stopping just short of the Impractical Jokers' tightrope attempts. Follow @truTVJokers for updates.
To further provide fans with everything Impractical Jokers, truTV.com will feature a pre- and post-episode digital show, live from South Street Seaport. Beginning at 9.30 p.m. ET/6.30 p.m. PT, the pre-show will feature guests, exclusive video and surprises. Immediately following the Live Special, the four Jokers will sit down for an interview to discuss their walk across the wire as well as answer questions fans have submitted via social media.
Fans and the public are encouraged to come watch, offer support and enjoy the onsite activities. After a successful run in San Diego during Comic Con International, The Impractical Jokers Museum of Impractical History, a specially curated exhibition featuring fan-generated artwork and show artifacts from some of the most legendary moments in Impractical Jokers history, is coming to New York City and will open to the public beginning at 10 a.m. at 19 Fulton St at the South Street Seaport.
The live punishment will also have a charitable element as each Joker's favorite charity - Doctors Without Borders (Sal,) Daniel's Music Foundation (Joe,) Make-A-Wish (Murr) and Stephen Siller Foundation (Q) receives a charitable contribution, determined by how far of a distance each Joker walks.
As previously announced, to build excitement for the big day, beginning on Monday, August 31, truTV will feature a week of Impractical Jokers specials leading up to the live punishment in New York City. See below for details.
· Monday, Aug. 31, at 10 p.m. - "Impractical Jokers: Anatomy of a Challenge" will take viewers behind the curtain for an inside look at how the guys put together some of the series' most memorable moments.
· Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10 p.m. - "Impractical Jokers: Unseen Scenes" unveils incredibly awkward, laugh-out-loud bits that were left on the cutting room floor.
· Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10 p.m. - "Impractical Jokers: FAN-tastic Countdown Presented by Geico" rolls out the all-time greatest challenges and punishments from the previous episodes.
· Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. - Viewers and fans can enjoy a full-day marathon of their favorite "Impractical Jokers" episodes.
Additionally, truTV is offering their audience the ability to watch every single episode of the Impractical Jokers - seasons 1 through 3 - on demand. In an unprecedented move, the network will make every regular-season episode to date, as well as Impractical Jokers specials, available via VOD and digital on-demand so truTV subscribers can binge watch whenever and wherever they want via http://www.trutv.com/watch and the Watch truTV mobile app.
