truTV and Tumblr Team Up Again to "Hack" Your Life for the Better!
Hack My Life Tumblr Challenge Invites Fans to Enter their Most Creative Hacks on hackmylifetrutv.tumblr.com for a Chance to Be on the Show's New Weekly Segment
truTV and Tumblr are upping the ante in their continued partnership for the second season of the hit, humorous and practical life-hack series Hack My Life. Got a way to relieve brain freeze, untangle hair without a brush, or hold up baggy pants up without a belt? truTV's Hack My Life Tumblr Challenge is the perfect way to share solutions to the most personal, mind-boggling everyday problems. The best hacks will be featured during the "Tumblr's Hack Mail" segment of Hack My Life, which returns Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).
Right now, fans can submit their hacks on hackmylifetrutv.tumblr.com for a chance to have their hacks featured in the upcoming season. The most promising and creative submissions - whether it's a photo, video or text - will be judged by hosts Kevin Pereira (Attack of the Show, Pointless Podcast) and Brooke Van Poppelen (John Oliver's NY Stand Up Show), who will test out these user hacks against one another to see which live up to their potential. "Tumblr's Hack Mail" segments are featured in each episode of season 2.
During the first season of truTV's Hack My Life, the Tumblr Challenge produced high user engagement, delivering more than 16.5 million overall impressions and nearly 200,000 overall engagements. The initiative scored robust growth, with nearly 21,000 new followers gained over the course of the first season. It marked the first time ever that Tumblr's user-generated content was featured as a major component in the production or creative process of every episode of a weekly series.
