"Benders" & "Gigi Does It" - New Original Series to Premiere Thursday, October 1 on IFC
This Thursday, October 1, IFC will kick off a brand new Thursday night lineup with the premiere of two new original comedies, Benders and Gigi Does It.
Starting off is the night is Benders, which follows a group of friends and their irrational obsession with their adult-hockey league, The Chubbys, and stars Lindsey Broad, Chris Distefano, Mark Gessner, Ruy Iskandar and Andrew Schulz. Here's an early glimpse at the Thursday's premiere episode, which will air at 10:00pm ET/PT. Watch as Paul (Schulz) receives an uncomfortable request from his grandfather (Breaking Bad's Mark Margolis) who is sick of being sick (and watching his favorite football team lose!).
Following on the heels of Benders is Gigi Does It, chronicling the life of Gertrude Rotblum, aka "Gigi," (David Krumholtz) who loses her beloved husband, but gains a new lease on life with the help of an unexpected inheritance and her trusty male companion sidekick (Ricky Mabe). Premiering at 10:30pm ET/PT, here's a first look at when Gigi first finds out her late husband left her millions from the family lawyer (Difficult People's James Urbaniak).
