DESTINATION AMERICA DARES YOU TO WATCH "EXORCISM: LIVE!" THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 at 9/8c

@DestAmerica, #ExorcismLive

(New York, N.Y.) - The most dangerous night on television is coming this Friday. Do not watch alone.

The history-making special EXORCISM: LIVE! premieres this Friday, October 30 at 9/8c, bringing the first-ever live televised exorcism in U.S. history to TV screens exclusively on Destination America. Just in time for Halloween, the two-hour TV event revisits the legendary house that inspired the scariest movie of all time, The Exorcist. It was in 1949 at a house in St. Louis when an exorcism was performed on Roland Doe to rid him of demonic possession. No one has ever attempted to cleanse the house of the dark entities that remain there... until now.

"The saying 'the truth is stranger than fiction' has never been more true than in the case of the Exorcist house. The real story was so much more horrifying than the book or movie depicted, making it one of the most terrifying places in America," said Jane Latman, general manager of Destination America. "Our crew and talent are now on the ground in St. Louis at this iconic home making final preparations for EXORCISM: LIVE!, ensuring that we're taking the necessary precautions for what is truly going to be the most dangerous night in television."

Destination America has assembled an all-star ensemble to tackle the demons no man has been brave enough to face in 66 years. The Tennessee Wraith Chasers ghost-hunting team from Destination America's hit series GHOST ASYLUM will investigate the house and collect evidence of paranormal activity. World-renowned psychic medium Chip Coffey will then step in to communicate with the entities in the house and lead a séance. Finally, Bishop James Long with the United States Old Catholic Church will become the first person ever to preside over the minor rite of exorcism at this legendary home. Seasoned host and Velocity personality Chris Jacobs will anchor the event as host, with St. Louis media personality Dave Glover serving as interactive correspondent.

Viewers can participate directly in EXORCISM: LIVE! by following online at DestinationAmerica.com/ExorcismLive, where webcams will stream live from multiple vantage points throughout the house. Keep an eye out for supernatural activity and inform the EXORCISM: LIVE! team of any mysterious developments by posting to the comment board on Destination America's website or tweeting @DestAmerica using #ExorcismLive. Select posts will appear live on air and help suggest which rooms the investigation should turn to next.

EXORCISM: LIVE! is produced for Destination America by Tremendous! Entertainment with Colleen Needles Steward, Shannon Keenan Demers, Rob Hammersley and Eddie Delbridge as executive producers. For Destination America, Fay Yu and Sara Helman are executive producers, Jodi Tovay is producer, Jane Latman is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is Group President of Investigation Discovery, Destination America, and American Heroes Channel.
