HIT SERIES "FIXER UPPER" RETURNS FOR ITS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED THIRD SEASON ON HGTV

New York [For Immediate Release - November 3, 2015] Smash hit series Fixer Upper, starring Chip and Joanna Gaines, will return for a third season on HGTV on Tuesday, December 1, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Inspiring social media shout outs from Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds and Scott Foley, Fixer Upper attracted an impressive 24.9 million viewers in season two. Legions of fans are now clamoring to see Chip and Joanna as they tackle more renovation projects in their hometown of Waco, Texas. The fresh episodes will showcase the Gaines as they help home seekers buy fixer-uppers and transform them into dream homes.

The new season will be full of surprises, funny outtakes and special behind-the-scenes footage. The Gaines will reimagine a wide variety of old houses, including rundown ranchers and dilapidated historic homes, and will give families the spacious new layouts, beautiful room designs and updated curb appeal that they never thought was possible.

"We will tackle some major projects this season," said Chip. "It will be our best season yet."

In addition, Chip and Joanna fall in love with a 1850s Victorian home and decide it's the perfect location for a new business venture - a Fixer Upper-style bed-and-breakfast. A special episode of Fixer Upper premiering on Tuesday, December 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT will follow Chip and Joanna as they renovate and decorate their charming new bed-and-breakfast in time for a festive family gathering.

"Now I know how people feel when we show them major fixer uppers," said Joanna. "When we saw the place, it was screaming for somebody fix it up."

From December 1 to December 22, viewers who dream of visiting the Gaines new bed-and-breakfast can enter the Fixer Upper Ultimate Escape Sweepstakes for a chance to win a two-night stay. Fans can get more information about the sweepstakes at HGTV.com/FixerUpper beginning Tuesday, November 24.
