1906 SAN FRANCISCO EARTHQUAKE, THE (TNT, New!) - James Solomon is spearheading a four-hour event series at the cable channel which tells the story of one of the biggest natural disasters in U.S. history. Entertainment One Television and Landscape Entertainment are co-producing the project, with latter's Bob Cooper also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
CAPER (FX, New!) - Writer Dutch Southern and director Magnus Martens are set to team for a new drama at the network "described as a Southern Gothic Texas Noir done the Scandinavian way and follows the interconnected lives of three sets of criminals." Tim Schlattman, Circle of Confusion's Brad Mendelsohn and Writ Large's Britton Rizzio and Greg Shephard also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
CRUSH (ABC, New!) - Feature writer Robert Kamen (Taken) has sold a new drama to the Alphabet about "a woman who, after her hedge fund crashes, inherits a vineyard in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains near a town populated with eccentric people." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan is also on board to executive produce. No studio was indicated. (Variety.com)
DOWNWARD DOG (ABC/ABCS/Legendary; W: Samm Hodges & Michael Killen; D: TBA) - Allison Tolman ("Fargo") has scored the lead role on the comedy pilot, about a woman and her dog. No details were given about her role in the project, which is based on the web series produced by Animal Media Group. Mosaic Media Group's Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen and Animal's Kathy Dziubek also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
INTERN AFFAIRS (Lifetime, New!) - Superb Entertainment is developing a new drama at the cable channel billed as "a cross between "Scandal" and "Gossip Girl."" The project, to be executive produced by the company's Meryl Poster, is currently searching for a writer. (Deadline.com)
MI-ZERO (CBS, New!) - Austin Winsberg and Alex Litvak have sold a new drama to the Eye about "a young American woman who marries the Prince of England and discovers that she's now part of a longstanding secret society of princesses who use their access to the seats of power to be the best secret agents on the planet." Warner Bros. Television-based Gulfstream Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. The company's Mike Karz and Bill Bindley then will executive produce alongside said duo. POOG (NBC, New!) - Meg LeFauve (The Good Dinosaur) has set up a new comedy at the Peacock about "a working mom who tries to get over her obsession with being the perfect parent by banding together with her friends to admit - and even celebrate - the messy reality of parenting." Co-executive producers Lorien McKenna and Christine Whitaker will co-write the single-camera project alongside LeFauve who's executive producing with Ben Queen for Warner Bros. Television. RUBBER GUNS (CBS, New!) - T.J. Fixman and R. Scott Gemmill are set to team for a new drama at the Eye about "four mentally unstable Miami cops who form an odd squad in the basement of the Miami Police Department after solving the murder of their therapist." CBS Television Studios and Scott Free's Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker are also behind the hour. (Deadline.com)
SENSORY (CBS, New!) - David Zabel has scored a script order from the Eye for a new drama about "a fourth year med student diagnosed with mirror-touch synesthesia, a condition whereby he is able to vividly feel - or mirror - the physical and emotional sensations of other people." Said effort is inspired by the life of Dr. Joel Salinas. TriStar Television and CBS Television Studios are co-producing with Scott Free's Ridley Scott and David W. TRIANGLE BELOW CANAL (HBO, New!) - Nathalie Prisco has booked a potential half-hour comedy at the pay channel which "explores the plight of frustrated married young mothers in New York." Meryl Poster of Superb Entertainment is executive producing with Prisco serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BUCATINSKY & KIRKMAN PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Dan Bucatinsky and Jen Kirkman have landed a put pilot commitment at the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy about "four women friends rattled by a fortysomething feeling of irrelevance who embark on a mission to turn their invisibility into invincibility." CBS Television Studios is behind the half-hour with Ryan Seacrest Productions' Ryan Seacrest and Nina Wass and Is or Isn't Entertainment's Bucatinsky and Lisa Kudrow executive producing and Kirkman as a co-executive producer. UNTITLED SUNNY HOSTIN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Elle Johnson has sold a new drama to the Eye about "a hotshot young lawyer forced to acknowledge her own family's criminal history when she becomes a federal prosecutor." The project, from CBS Television Studios and Scott Free's Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker, is based on the life and career of former Assistant U.S. Attorney Sunny Hostin. (Deadline.com)
