EYEWITNESS (USA/UCP; W: Adi Hasak; D: Catherine Hardwicke) - Amanda Brugel ("Orphan Black") is the latest to board the upcoming drama, which delves into the lives of two innocent teenaged boys after they secretly meet up in the forest, bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen and when you witness a horrible event it changes everything, forever. She'll play Sita, "a feisty biker chick with a newborn baby and impulse-control issues." (Deadline.com)

FLINT (Lifetime, New!) - Craig Zadan and Neil Meron ("Outlaw Prophet: Warren Jeffs") are back in business with the cable channel for a new docudrama about "the events that led to the toxic crime committed against the residents of the town of Flint, Michigan. It is looking to shed light not only on the politics and poor management that led to the poisoning of the water, but also the human element of the residents who not only suffered, but whose voices were ignored." Barbara Stepansky is set to pen the project from said duo's Sony Pictures Television-based Storyline Entertainment. The company's Mark Nicholson is producing. (Deadline.com)

LOT, A (A.K.A. ARE MEN NECESSARY?) (HBO; W: Whitney Cummings; D: Richard Shepard) - Lucy Punch, Brett Goldstein, Jenn Tullock and Krystal Smith have all been cast in the Whitney Cummings-led comedy pilot, about how Amanda, "a financially successful woman navigates a world complicated by the biological and cultural differences between the sexes." Punch is set as Izzy, "a close friend of Amanda's who is in her first romantic relationship with a woman"; with Goldstein as Max, "Amanda's live-in boyfriend who designs hand-drawn wall paper and makes very little money"; Tullock as Lou, "Amanda's freshly divorced friend"; and Smith as Opal, "Amanda's new and outspoken assistant." Richard Shepard is also on board to direct from a script by Cummings as well as executive produce alongside Jenny Bicks, Maureen Dowd, Tom Werner and Jimmy Miller. (Deadline.com)

WHEN THE STREET LIGHTS GO ON (Hulu/Paramount; W: Chris Hutton & Eddie O'Keefe; D: Brett Morgen) - British actor Adam Long ("Happy Valley") has booked a role on the drama pilot, a coming-of-age thriller about a sleepy, suburban town that is rocked by the brutal murder of a high school girl and her teacher in the summer of 1983. He'll play "17-year-old rebel Casper Tatum, a popular suspect in the small-town murder." (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Netflix has ordered two additional seasons of "Degrassi: Next Class" of 10 episodes each (EW.com); Jama Williamson's Principal Mullins has been promoted to series regular on Nickelodeon's "School of Rock" (Deadline.com); Micky Shiloah has booked an arc on "Mistresses" as "the privileged nephew of Jonathan (Navid Negahban)" (Deadline.com); Patricia Scanlon is likewise bound for FX's "Better Things" as Joy, one of Sam's (Pamela Adlon) friends (Deadline.com); and Tony Curran is set for the final two episodes of "Elementary" this season as Joshua Vikner, an economics professor who "has much to teach Sherlock and his father, Morland, about the past, in addition to playing a large role in their future" (TVLine.com).
