CHANCE (Hulu/Fox 21; W: Alexandra Cunningham & Kem Nunn; D: Lenny Abrahamson) - Ethan Suplee ("Jennifer Falls") is the latest addition to the Hugh Laurie-led drama, about Eldon Chance, a San Francisco-based forensic neuropsychiatrist. After an ill-advised decision regarding an alluring patient who may or may not be struggling with a multiple personality disorder (Gretchen Mol), Chance finds himself in the crosshairs of her abusive spouse (Paul Adelstein), who also happens to be a ruthless police detective. He'll play D, "a powerfully built, tattooed man of few words. To the extent he talks about his background, we gather he is ex-military and served in Afghanistan. These days he works under the radar doing antiques restoration." (Deadline.com)
MY TIME/YOUR TIME (CBS/CTS/Sony; W: Hilary Winston; D: Pamela Fryman) - Tone Bell ("Truth Be Told") has booked a role on the Carter Bays and Craig Thomas-produced comedy pilot, which chronicles the relationship of a young couple, Marla (Jane Levy) and Wade (Nicholas Braun), as they begin dating long distance. He'll play a newly created character which effectively combines the roles of Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and Parker (Langston Kerman). Said actors have been released. (Deadline.com)
TICK, THE (Amazon/Sony; W: Ben Edlund; D: Wally Pfister) - Jackie Earle Haley ("Preacher") is the latest to be cast in the streaming service's new adaptation of Ben Edlund's comic book series with Peter Serafinowicz in the title role. He'll play The Terror, "a powerful super villain and the leader of the evil league in the comics. He is described as our world's epitome of the criminal mastermind, a hooded ancient villain barking at his minions whose incredible will power and tenacity have powered an underworld syndicate for decades." TIME OUT OF MIND (Amazon, New!) - Australian filmmaker Josh Wakely is spearheading a TV series based on Bob Dylan's song catalog. No details were given about the project, which would be co-produced by Amazon Studios and Lionsgate Television. Wakely will write, direct and executive produce via his banner, Grace: A Storytelling Company. (WSJ.com)
