New York, May 13, 2016- WE tv's hit series, "Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars," returns on Friday, June 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Season five follows a new group of headline-making reality stars who through weeks of intense concentrated therapy, must decide to work out the issues that are destroying their relationships - including lying, cheating and anger - or call it quits. And for the first time in Boot Camp history, a couples' dark secret, rocks the boot camp to its core. Tune in to this explosive season of Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars when the lies begin to unravel and a shocking betrayal blindsides the house.
This season follows Tara Reid & Dean May (Taradise & Big Brother UK), Lisa D'Amato & Adam Friedman (America's Next Top Model), Michelle Money & Cody Sattler (Bachelor in Paradise), Toya & Memphitz (Toya Family Affair) and Brittish Williams & Lorenzo Gordon (Basketball Wives LA) as they undergo extreme relationship therapy to decide whether their troubled unions are worth saving. Guiding them every step of the way are Jim and Elizabeth Carroll, along with Co-directors Ilsa Norman and David Bishop, who will challenge each couple as they participate in exercises that will push them to the brink physically, mentally and emotionally.
The first episode introduces viewers to the couples who have brought with them their relationship woes along with a lot of personal baggage. Bachelor in Paradise stars Michelle Money and Cody Sattler's relationship is anything but paradise. Popular amongst the Bachelor Nation couples, Michelle and Cody seemed destined to be together for the long-haul but lack of communication and trust issues has been plaguing their relationship and creating serious doubt, mostly on Michelle's part, on whether they are truly right for each other. Former America's Next Top Model star Lisa D'Amato is a true free spirit, while her husband, Adam Friedman, whose hobby of being a doomsday prepper has turned into an obsession, is constantly worried that something bad will happen. His constant criticism of her parenting skills and his fear of everything including the thought of having a second child into the world is destroying their marriage.
Despite already saying "I Do," Toya: A Family Affair's Toya Wright and Memphitz are currently living separately and have very different perspectives on what a modern-day marriage should look like. With Memphitz acting like a single man and refusing to fully commit to their marriage, Toya goes out of her way to try to and keep him happy including granting him a "hall pass" which she never imagines he will use. However, the revelation that he has used it, several times, is devastating and could be the final straw that ends their relationship. Basketball Wives star Brittish Williams and her ball playing fiancé Lorenzo Gordon have been engaged for two years, but Lorenzo is a serial cheater who takes no accountability for his actions. Before they can think about walking down the aisle, Brittish needs to decide whether she can move past Lorenzo's cheating ways. The couples are in complete shock when they discover the fifth and final couple, Sharknado's Tara Reid and her boyfriend Dean May and immediately question the state of their relationship.
The iconic Montel Williams kicks off the couple's first shocking exercise - a Marriage Boot Camp talk show. Known for his no-holds-barred interview style, Montel immediately puts the celebrity pairs in the hot seat, as he digs deep to get to the core of their issues. Shocking secrets are exposed, feelings get hurt, tempers quickly reach their boiling points and this is only day one. Tune in Friday, June 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT to catch the premiere episode of "Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars," with a blockbuster ending you won't want to miss!
