UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 1, 2016 - NBC has set Tuesday, Aug. 23 as the premiere for its new comedy event series "Better Late Than Never" and Monday, July 11 for the season debut of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls." Both shows will begin at 10 p.m.

Based on a popular Korean format, "Better Late Than Never" is a fish-out-of-water show that follows cultural icons Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman on their greatest adventure yet. Deciding it's better late than never, these four national treasures embark on the journey of a lifetime, traveling across Asia on their own with no schedule and no itinerary. The only help will come from Jeff Dye, a young tech-savvy comedian with an agenda of his own and who isn't above leading the men off track. Each stop is packed with hilarious cultural experiences, heartwarming spectacles and unexpected twists as our legends take on this unforgettable adventure.

Craig Zadan & Neil Meron, Henry Winkler, Jason Ehrlich, Stephanie Chambers, Alex Katz and Tim Crescenti executive produce. "Better Late Than Never" is produced by Universal Television in association with Storyline Entertainment, Small World IFT and CJ E&M.

The upcoming season of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" features Courteney Cox, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Nick Jonas and Lindsey Vonn taking on the elements in the great outdoors. Cox will be traveling to Ireland, Hough will be in Africa, Hudgens and Jonas are going to the Sierra Nevada Mountains while Vonn heads to Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea.

"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" is produced by Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures. Grylls will serve as executive producer along with Ben Silverman, Chris Grant, Laura Caraccioli, Viki Cacciatore and Delbert Shoopman.
