ARRANGEMENT, THE (E!) - Brit Morgan ("True Blood") has boarded the newcomer as Daisy Parson, "an uncompromising independent filmmaker who meets Megan (Christine Evangelista) while showing her film at the Venice film festival." (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Virginia Madsen is the latest bound for the newcomer as Kimble Hookstraten, "the 'other' Designated Survivor during the State of the Union address - but for the rival political party. A sharply intelligent and politically astute conservative Congresswoman, she makes it clear that, in the aftermath of the Capitol attack, she supports President Kirkman's (Kiefer Sutherland) authority as the country's new Commander in Chief, until her true agenda is revealed and she emerges as his chief political rival." (Deadline.com)
DEUCE, THE (HBO) - Will Chase ("Nashville") has boarded the period drama as "a recently divorced father" in a multi-episode arc. (Deadline.com)
ELEMENTARY (CBS) - Virginia Madsen will return to the series as Paige, Captain Thomas Gregson's (Aidan Quinn) girlfriend, in the new season. (Deadline.com)
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (CBS) - Zoe McLellan, who plays Special Agent Meredith "Merri" Brody, will not be returning for the coming season. (TVLine.com)
PROJECT GREENLIGHT (HBO) - The pay channel has tabled its reality series once again. "When we picked up a new season in 2014, we imagined a one season revival and decided in early 2016 another season did not make sense for us," HBO said in a statement. "We are proud of the show and were pleased with its run throughout the years." (Deadline.com)
RIGHT HAND GUY (Disney, New!) - Dan Lagana ("Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous") has scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a new comedy about Jeff and "chronicles his adventures with his best friend Katie and his other best friend - his suddenly sentient, talking hand. Despite being attached to Jeff's body, his right hand has a mind and personality of its own." Steele Stebbins has already been cast as Jeff while Cody Blue Snider is set to direct. (Deadline.com)
SUPERIOR DONUTS (CBS) - Judd Hirsch is set to star opposite Jermaine Fowler in the multi-camera comedy pilot, which "follows the relationship between the owner of a donut shop, Arthur (Hirsch), his new young employee (Fowler) and their patrons in a gentrifying neighborhood of Chicago." Brian d'Arcy James played said role in the original pilot, which is being reshot for midseason consideration. (Deadline.com)
VIKINGS (History) - Adam Copeland ("Haven") is set to recur on the new season as Ketill Flatnose, "a fierce and brave warrior, chosen by Floki to be one of the leaders of the Viking party intent on traveling to Iceland to set up a community there." (Deadline.com)
