FYI Orders Spin-Off Series "Married at First Sight: Second Chances"

FOLLOWS FORMER "MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT" FAN FAVORITES DAVID NORTON AND VANESSA NELSON AS THEY CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR TRUE LOVE

NEW YORK, September 15, 2016 - FYI has greenlit 12 episodes of the spin-off series, "Married at First Sight: Second Chances," it was announced today by Gena McCarthy, EVP of Programming and Development, FYI. The series will follow "Married at First Sight" season three viewer favorites, David Norton and Vanessa Nelson, as they get another shot at finding life-long love. Production begins immediately in Atlanta, Georgia with the series slated to premiere in 2017.

In season three of "Married at First Sight," David's marriage failed, despite his efforts to spark a connection with his wife Ashley; while Vanessa's marriage to Tres blossomed, only to fall apart after filming concluded. Now, with the experiment over and their divorces finalized, David and Vanessa are embarking on another journey to find their soulmates.

"The FYI viewers have spoken and we have listened to their demands to give two of the popular 'Married at First Sight' participants a second chance to find a meaningful partner," said McCarthy. "This series will follow David and Vanessa as they potentially find everlasting love with the likes of viewers and real people who are eager to date them."

In "Married at First Sight: Second Chances," men and women located in David and Vanessa's hometown area of Atlanta will take part in multiple rounds of dating and courtship in an attempt to win the hearts of these two eligible singles. With guidance from "Married at First Sight" experts; Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin Roberson and Rachel DeAlto; as well as their family and friends, will David and Vanessa finally get their happily ever after?

"Married at First Sight" season four is currently airing on Tuesday night's with the finale slated to premiere on Tuesday, October 25 at 8:30pm ET. The groundbreaking docuseries continues to be FYI's #1 rated series across all platforms, with season four seeing double digit growth in total viewers since the July premiere.

"Married at First Sight: Second Chances" is produced by Kinetic Content for FYI. Chris Coelen and Brenda Coston are executive producers for Kinetic Content. Gena McCarthy and Shura Davison serve as executive producers for FYI.
