ESPN to Exclusively Televise the 2016 MLB National League Wild Card Game

SportsCenter on the Road at the NL Wild Card Game
The 2016 MLB National League Wild Card Game telecast presented by Hankook Tire will air exclusively on ESPN, Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. Entering competition on Sept. 28, the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants currently hold the first and second NL Wild Card spots, respectively. The St. Louis Cardinals are currently one game behind the Giants for the second spot. The telecast will also be streamed live on WatchESPN.
ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball team of Dan Shulman, analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone, and reporter Buster Olney will provide commentary for the telecast. The quartet worked together throughout 2016 on ESPN's signature baseball platform.
Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter on The Road pre-game coverage
ESPN will provide three consecutive hours of NL Wild Card pre-game coverage on Oct. 5, including two, one-hour episodes of Baseball Tonight - ESPN's MLB studio show - at 5 p.m. (ESPN2) and 7 p.m. (ESPN). Baseball Tonight presented by Chevrolet will emanate from a set inside the stadium and will be led by the team of Karl Ravech, analysts Dallas Braden and Eduardo Perez and insider Tim Kurkjian.
Additionally, the NL Wild Card Game will be part of the expanded SportsCenter on the Road powered by Ford coverage initiative. SportsCenter on the Road will provide live, on-site updates throughout day on Oct. 5, including within the 6 p.m. SportsCenter.
The 2016 MLB National League Wild Card Game telecast presented by Hankook Tire is also available on ESPN Radio with Dave O'Brien and Jim Bowden, ESPN Deportes with Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Alvarez and Memo Celis, and ESPN Deportes Radio. In addition, the NL Wild Card Game will be available on ESPN in the Caribbean, Latin America, Brazil and the Pac-Rim.
ESPN Radio will also broadcast the 2016 MLB American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday, Oct. 4, with Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton describing the action.
