FYI(TM) ORDERS SEASON FIVE OF "MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT"

HIT DOCUSERIES HEADS TO THE WINDY CITY IN 2017

THREE NEW COUPLES TO WED IN CHICAGO

NEW YORK, NY - October 25, 2016 - FYI has greenlit the break-out docuseries "Married at First Sight" for a season five it was announced today by Gena McCarthy, EVP of Programming and Development for FYI. Production has already begun in Chicago, Illinois with the new season slated to air in 2017.

"Married at First Sight" is FYI's #1 rated series across all platforms, with the past four seasons averaging over 550,000 total viewers per episode. The series also consistently ranks as #1 on FYI's website and remains a top driver for audience engagement and buzz on both digital and social for the brand. "Married at First Sight" season four is currently running in premieres with the finale airing tonight, Tuesday, October 25 at 8:30pm ET, followed by a reunion special on Tuesday, November 1.

"Married at First Sight" follows singles yearning for a life-long partnership as they agree to a provocative proposal: getting legally married to a stranger the moment they first meet. Over 40,000 candidates nationwide have applied to be married at first sight. In season five, singles from the Chicago area will be matched by a panel of relationship experts. Previous seasons followed couples from New York, Atlanta and Miami.

A team of experts including sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, communication and relationship expert, Rachel DeAlto, and marriage counselor, Pastor Calvin Roberson, will choose what they believe are three compatible couples. The couples will not meet until they walk down the aisle and see each other face-to-face, for the first time, at the altar. After several weeks together, each couple must make a decision: do they remain together or decide to divorce?

FYI recently greenlit the spin-off series, "Married at First Sight: Second Chances." The series will follow Atlanta-based "Married at First Sight" season three viewer favorites, David Norton and Vanessa Nelson, as they get another shot at finding life-long love.

"Married at First Sight" is produced for FYI by Kinetic Content. Executive producers for Kinetic Content are Chris Coelen and Sam Dean. Gena McCarthy serves as executive producer for FYI.
