SERIES INSPIRED BY STAR JONES' BOOK SATAN'S SISTERS... A NOVEL OF FICTION TO PREMIERE IN 2017

NEW YORK, NY (November 3, 2016) - VH1 today announced that two-time Emmy Award-winning actress, Kristen Johnston and Norm Lewis will join the network's latest scripted series "Daytime Divas" in recurring roles. Additionally, the network announced guest stars for the series which is slated to premiere in 2017.

Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock from the Sun"), Norm Lewis ("Scandal"), Patti LaBelle, Eve ("Barbershop" franchise), Kelly Osbourne ("The Osbournes"), Tasha Smith ("Empire"), La La Anthony ("Power"), Rob Estes ("Major Crimes"), Scott Evans ("Looking"), Debby Ryan ("Jessie") and Janet Mock are joining the previously announced cast of Vanessa Williams ("Ugly Betty"), Tichina Arnold ("Survivor's Remorse"), Chloe Bridges ("The Carrie Diaries"), Camille Guaty ("Scorpion"), Fiona Gubelmann ("Wilfred") and McKinley Freeman ("Hit The Floor").

Inspired by Jones' book Satan's Sisters... A Novel of Fiction about a fictitious long running talk show entitled "The Lunch Hour," the series will chronicle the daily fireworks that erupt between the five female co-hosts. On screen, they are best friends with five very different points of view, but behind the scenes, they inhabit a world of power struggles, cat fights and cocktails.

Kristen Johnston will play Anna, the former frumpy and frazzled assistant to Vanessa Williams' character Maxine. Her character returns to New York transformed into a chic and hard-hitting journalist.

Norm Lewis will play William, a handsome doorman who may hold one of the ladies' darkest secrets.

Patti LaBelle will play Gloria, William's (Norm Lewis) sharp-tongued, fabulous, prying mother who loves visiting her son in New York City to catch the latest sales at Barneys. Lead by her maternal instinct, she knows her son better than anyone.

Eve will play Cecile James, author of a book about alpha women who comes on "The Lunch Hour" as a guest host hoping to make her stint permanent.

Kelly Osbourne will play herself promoting a book on "The Lunch Hour."

Tasha Smith will play Portia Camden, a popular lifestyle guru who joins the ladies as a guest co-host on the show.

La La Anthony will play Isabel Carlisle, a crisis management expert brought in by Maxine to help handle a situation that has gone public with one of the hosts.

Debby Ryan will play Maddie Finn, a former co-star and rival of Kibby (Chloe Bridges), looking to reconcile on "The Lunch Hour."

Janet Mock will play herself. Janet will be a guest co-host on "The Lunch Hour" who ends up connecting with and helping one of the other hosts.

Rob Estes will play Vance Gordon, who played Kibby's father on the TV Show "Lacey from Outer Space." Vance suddenly comes back into Kibby's life as a guest on "The Lunch Hour."

Scott Evans will play Julian, a celebrity sober coach helping to keep one of the ladies on track.

"Daytime Divas" was developed for television by Amy Engelberg and Wendy Engelberg who also executive produce along with Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler ("Awkward," "90210"), Josh Berman ("Drop Dead Diva," "CSI"), Star Jones, Suzanne de Passe ("The Temptations," "Lonesome Dove"), Madison Jones and Susan Levison. Suzanne Coston serves as co-executive producer. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.
