A&E'S "LIVE PD" AIDS IN ARREST OF ONE OF TULSA'S MOST WANTED FUGITIVES
HOTLINE TIP PROVIDED AFTER ARREST WARRANT FOR MAN SUSPECTED OF DOUBLE HOMICIDE AIRED IN LAST WEEK'S BROADCAST
After A&E's "Live PD" featured 'The Wanted List;' a segment that reviews the week's most wanted fugitives, a caller into Tulsa's homicide tip line provided the whereabouts of a man accused of double homicide that successfully led to his capture and arrest.
Tulsa PD was entrenched in a massive search for suspect James Mahdavi after two men were found shot to death at a Tulsa motel earlier this month. 'The Wanted List' segment ran towards the end of Friday, November 25th's "Live PD" episode and at 10:50PM CST, the tipster led Tulsa PD to a backyard shed where they had a short standoff with suspect Mahdavi before he was taken into custody.
"Live PD," produced by Big Fish Entertainment and currently in its sixth week of premieres, boldly showcases the policing of America by following six diverse police departments as they patrol their communities on a Friday night. Viewers ride along in real time for an unfiltered and transparent look at law enforcement on duty across the country.
"Live PD" airs Fridays at 9PM ET/PT on A&E.
