ANIMAL KINGDOM (TNT) - Jennifer Landon ("Banshee") has scored a role on the show's sophomore run as Amy, "whom Pope (Shawn Hatosy) meets at the megachurch where she works. Amy has been through the ringer, made life-altering mistakes and is seeking redemption through her faith. She runs a Bible study group and ex-con rehabilitation program, steadfast in her belief that salvation and forgiveness are possible." (Deadline.com)
BABY FACE (A&E, New!) - "Bates Motel" executive producer Kerry Ehrin and star Freddie Highmore are back in business with the cable channel for a new drama about "a young couple rallying against the establishment in the throes of the Great Depression - one of whom happens to be "Baby Face" Nelson. The drama will chronicle his season-by-season rise from a small-time bootlegger and bank robber in Chicago to Public Enemy Number One, and ultimate death at the age of 25." Both will co-write the hour as well as executive produce with Highmore attached for the titular role. (Variety.com)
FAMILIAR (FOX, New!) - Heather Regnier ("Sleepy Hollow") has sold a new drama to the network "set in 2029, the year A.I. Robotics will go the path of the personal computer - or so is the hope of the Wiercinskis, the family behind Luminary, the first mainstream consumer-oriented robotics company. The project follows the powerful and dysfunctional family as they navigate their own personal and familial relationships in an ever-changing world that they had a significant (if sometimes unethical) hand in shaping." Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Albert Page will also executive produce via their 20th Century Fox Television-based Temple Hill Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
GLOW (Netflix) - Chris Lowell and Alex Rich are both bound for the upcoming comedy series as Sebastian "Bash" Howard, "a wealthy playboy whose obsession with wrestling leads him to create and fund the first women's wrestling TV show"; and Florian, "Bash's childhood best friend turned butler," respectively. (Deadline.com)
GOOD FIGHT, THE (CBSAA) - Carrie Preston will reprise her Emmy-winning role of Elsbeth Tascioni on "The Good Wife" spin-off series. (Deadline.com)
IT'S NOT YOU (Freeform, New!) - Gina Fattore ("Californication") has booked a potential comedy at the cable channel about "the horrors and struggles of being single in a world completely designed for couples." The project, inspired by Sara Eckel's New York Times columns, will also be executive produced by Adam and Naomi Scott of Gettin' Rad Productions. (Deadline.com)
JACK RYAN (Amazon) - Wendell Pierce, Dina Shihabi and Ali Suliman are all set to join John Krasinski and Abbie Cornish in the Tom Clancy series. Pierce will play James Greer, "Ryan's new boss and a highly successful case officer working in the CIA Directorate of Operations"; with Suliman as Suleiman, "a charismatic Islamic activist whose life has taken a wrong turn"; and Shihabi as Hani, "Suleiman's wife and an independent Muslim who is willing to go to the ends of the earth to protect her children." (Deadline.com)
MOON CRUISE (TBS, New!) - "Wet Hot American Summer's" Michael Showalter, Jonathan Stern and David Wain are set to re-team with Michael Ian Black for a new single-camera comedy, described as "The Love Boat" but set in space. Black will write and star in the half-hour with Showalter, Stern and Wain likewise executive producing. (THR.com)
SINGLE WHITE FEMALE (NBC, New!) - Eric Garcia is spearheading a small screen take on the 1992 novel-turned-film, in which "erstwhile con-artist Hedra (played in the movie by Jennifer Jason Leigh) uses her professional connections to target Allie (Bridget Fonda), a seemingly moneyed colleague in search of a roommate, Hedra slowly begins to realize that her mark may not be quite as innocuous as she first seems." TriStar Television is producing. (THR.com)
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN (ABC, New!) - Stephen Tolkin ("Legend of the Seeker") is set to import the Korean drama as a 10-episode summer series for the Alphabet. The project tracks Laura Price. "She isn't crazy: She knows her daughter Serena is going to be murdered. She doesn't know who the murderer is or why she'll be killed, but she knows exactly when it will happen, where and how. Despite this, all of her attempts to keep her daughter safe fail, and Serena's fixed, unmovable, terrifying fate keeps her directly in the path of her killer." Thunderbird Entertainment is behind the project, with Ivan Fecan and Joseph Broido also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Hari Dhillon ("Holby City") is the latest set to recur on the drama as Sanjay, "a workplace rival of Randall (Sterling K. Brown)." (Deadline.com)
