ALIENIST, THE (TNT) - Matt Lintz is the latest to board the upcoming drama as Steve, "who is employed by Dr. Kreizler as a driver and errand boy. Hardened by a life on the streets after his mother abandoned him at the age of three, this young boy has risen to become the bane of fifteen police precincts." (Variety.com)
ALTERED CARBON (Netflix) - Tamara Taylor is the latest to book a recurring role on the series as Oumou Prescott, "a very powerful, whip-smart lawyer who represents Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy)." (Deadline.com)
BALLERS (HBO) - Brittany S. Hall is bound for the series in the recurring role of Amber, "a woman from Ricky's (John David Washington) past." (Deadline.com)
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (FOX) - Gina Gershon has scored an arc on the veteran comedy as Sergeant Melanie Hawkins, "a notoriously bad-ass cop who runs the NYPD's most elite task-force. Both Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) are in awe of her and compete against each other for an open spot on her task force." (TVLine.com)
BROTHERED UP (CBS) - Adhir Kalyan ("Rules of Engagement") has been tapped for a lead role on the comedy pilot, about Calvin, an emotionally guarded African-American cop who is partnered with Farooq (Kalyan), an emotionally available Pakistani cop and they are forced to find a way to connect as they patrol a Detroit neighborhood. Additionally, James Burrows is set to direct and executive produce. (Deadline.com)
DECEPTION (ABC) - Amaury Nolasco and Lenora Crichlow have both been cast in the drama pilot, about Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott), a superstar magician who, when his career is ruined by scandal, goes to work as a consultant for the FBI. He'll play Mike Alvarez, "a classic FBI agent and, secretly, a huge fan of magic"; while she's set as Dina Clark, "Cameron Black's producer/makeup genius." (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Geoff Pierson will recur on the back half of the show's sophomore run as Cornelius Moss, "the former President of the United States who Kirkman hopes to appoint as Secretary of State." (Deadline.com)
DISTEFANO (CBS) - Diane Guerrero has scored the female lead on the comedy pilot, about Izzy and Chris (Chris Distefano), two 20-somethings raising their newborn daughter and merging their loud families - one Colombian American, one Italian. She'll play the aforementioned Izzy, "the love of Chris' life and the mother of their 3-month-old baby." Said role was originally written as Puerto Rican and will be reworked as Colombian. DYNASTY (The CW) - Sam Adegoke has scored a lead role on the netlet's reboot of the 1980s staple as Jeff Colby, "a billionaire tech guru who fought his way up from humble beginnings to his present prominence." (Deadline.com)
FULLER HOUSE (Netflix) - Adam Hagenbuch's Jimmy Gibbler has been promoted to series regular for the show's third season. (Deadline.com)
GHOSTED (FOX) - Edi Patterson has snagged a role on the comedy pilot, in which a cynical skeptic (Craig Robinson), and a genius "true believer" in the paranormal (Adam Scott), are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles - all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. She'll play Delilah, "the super smart tech specialist at the Bureau. She is extremely confident and highly opinionated." (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Matthew Lillard has signed onto the drama pilot as "jovial and a bit of a blowhard Dean, a car dealer, is married to Beth (Kathleen Rose Perkins) and the father of their four kids - but he is having an affair with the star of one of his dealership commercials. Dean treats Beth with a certain amount of good-natured condescension and has no idea what she is capable of." (Deadline.com)
HAPPY PEPPERS, THE (NBC) - Genevieve Angelson ("Good Girls Revolt") has scored the female lead on the comedy pilot, about Henry and Heather Pepper, an adult brother and sister who wind up living together for the first time since they were kids, after one of them suffers a big loss. "After dropping out of grad school and bouncing from bad relationship to worse, Heather is still trying to find herself and finds herself on the couch of her best friend/brother, Henry." HOUSEHOLD NAME (ABC) - Matt Oberg has been tapped for a role on the comedy pilot, about a family who gets a chance to buy the house of their dreams but must live with the current owner, an older actress (Carol Burnett) - until she dies. He's set as patriarch Tim Peters, "a teacher who views life as a never-ending education. He's a people pleaser, who always tries to do the right thing and make everybody happy, only to find that he can't." (Deadline.com)
JALEN VS. EVERYBODY (ABC) - Kelly Jenrette, Jessica McKenna, Rich Sommer and Laysla de Oliveira are all bound for the Jalen Rose-led comedy pilot. Jenrette will play Denise, "Jalen's ex, and the mother of their two girls, Samantha and Natalie, who live with her mostly, though they visit their dad regularly"; with McKenna as Becky, "Jalen's assistant at ESPN"; Sommer as Jacoby, "a little neurotic, smart, and quick-witted, he co-hosts a successful ESPN show about sports and pop culture with Jalen"; and De Oliveira as Angela, "Jalen's girlfriend, who works for a fashion magazine." LAST TYCOON, THE (Amazon) - Eion Bailey is set to recur on the Matt Bomer-led drama as Clint Frost, "an actor who's handsome as hell, confident and excited about viewing an early preview of his movie, The Bells of Boston, for the studio brass. However, his elation turns to fear when he realizes his performance, like the movie, is not good." (Deadline.com)
MAYANS MC (FX) - Clayton Cardenas is the latest to board the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off as Angel Reyes, "EZ's brother. He's a full patch member of the Mayans MC, Santo Padre. He lives with the burden of being the "lesser son" in a proud Mexican family who loves few and trusts even fewer." (THR.com)
PHILIP K. DICK'S ELECTRIC DREAMS (Amazon, New!) - The streaming service has reportedly signed onto the 10-episode sci-fi anthology series, originally announced by the U.K.'s Channel 4 back in May. Tony Grisoni, Jack Thorne, Matthew Graham, David Farr, Dee Rees and Travis Beacham are among the featured writers, joining Ronald D. Moore and Michael Dinner. AMC was previously attached. SALVATION (CBS) - Ian Anthony Dale ("Murder in the First") has been cast in the upcoming summer drama as Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Anders, "a consummate Washington insider who is tasked with running the government's top-secret plan to deflect a planet killer asteroid. A man who's devoted himself to country, Harris will find himself torn between following orders, following his conscience and following his heart." (Deadline.com)
