ALIENIST, THE (TNT) - Brian Geraghty has signed onto the upcoming drama as Teddy Roosevelt. He'll succeed Sean Astin, who had to bow out due to scheduling difficulties with his role on "Stranger Things." (Deadline.com)
FAHRENHEIT 451 (HBO, New!) - Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon are attached to star in a new small screen take on Ray Bradbury's iconic sci-fi novel. Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Amir Naderi. Said effort "depicts a future where media is an opiate, history is outlawed and "firemen" burn books. Young fireman Montag (Jordan) forsakes his world, battles his mentor Beatty (Shannon) and struggles to regain his humanity." Outlier Productions' Jordan and Brace Cove Productions' Sarah Green, Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen will executive produce alongside Bahrani with David Coatsworth producing. (Deadline.com)
