TRAVEL CHANNEL BEGINS PRODUCTION ON NEW FOUR-PART SPECIAL WITH ADVENTURER JOSH GATES - 'EXPEDITION UNKNOWN: HUNT FOR EXTRATERRESTRIALS'
NEW YORK (June 7, 2017) - Production is underway for Travel Channel's intriguing special event, "Expedition Unknown: Hunt for Extraterrestrials," which will follow adventurer and explorer Josh Gates as he traverses four continents in search of proof that life exists on other planets. The four episodes are scheduled to premiere in October 2017.
As host and executive producer, Gates will fearlessly journey from the deserts of Chile to the African wilderness to earth's most remote island on a mission to uncover the truth behind enthralling extraterrestrial legends and mysteries. His quest will take him deep behind the scenes at NASA's mission control center in Houston, where "international travel" takes on a whole new meaning. Gates will also serve as a special guest at the UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico, participating in the out-of-this-world festivities that celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Roswell Incident - America's most famous UFO case.

It's a story as big as the universe, so I'm seeking out cutting-edge scientists, mind-warping discoveries and the most unnerving close encounters to investigate on the most ambitious expedition of my career."
