COAST-TO-COAST CULINARY ADVENTURES CONTINUE WHEN CASEY WEBB
RETURNS FOR A SECOND SEASON OF TRAVEL CHANNEL'S 'MAN v. FOOD'
NEW YORK (August 30, 2017) - "Man v. Food" with new man Casey Webb, a restaurant business veteran with an unquenchable thirst for travel and competition, has delivered 3.5 million viewers for Travel Channel after just four weeks in its Monday 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot - prompting the network's mid-season greenlight of 14 episodes for season two. The series, which spotlights Webb as he travels around the country to take on tremendous, outrageous and mind-boggling food challenges, has delivered a 27 percent increase in prime ratings among P25-54 for its timeslot. The second season will premiere later this year.
"We've all wondered if, given the chance, could we eat a 10 pound Reuben in Milwaukee?" said Courtney White, senior vice president, programming, Food Network and Travel Channel. "Casey's fun, magnetic personality, along with his natural wit and relatability, are a good fit for this type of content. His passion for travel, people and food appeals to everyone in the household and is the secret sauce for the early success of 'Man v. Food.'"
"Being the new 'Man' has been an absolute dream," said Webb. "I can't wait to get back out on the road to meet more extraordinary people and to keep waging war on food challenges in all-new cities across the country."
