AVENUE 5 (HBO, New!) - Armando Iannucci ("Veep") has scored a pilot order from the pay channel for a new comedy "set in the future, mostly in space." No other details were given about the project, which will also pen additional scripts. Production is set to begin next year in London. (Deadline.com)
BELLEVUE (NBC, New!) - David Schulner ("Emerald City") is back in business with the Peacock for a new drama set at New York City's Bellevue Hospital, about "the new enigmatic medical director hired to disrupt and tame this mighty Manhattan institution, all while facing his own battle with cancer." Peter Horton will also executive produce the Universal Television-based hour, which has a put pilot commitment. Eric Manheimer's book "Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital" will serve as its basis. (Deadline.com)
EMPIRE (FOX) - Rumer Willis's Tory Ash has been upped to series regular for the show's upcoming fourth season. (TVLine.com)
GROWN-ISH (Freeform) - Abraham D. Juste is slated to recur on the newcomer as Cassius "Cash" Mooney, "the top-ranked shooting guard in the nation with a megawatt smile and a freshman at California University with Zoey (Yara Shahidi)." (Deadline.com)
HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, THE (Netflix) - Mckenna Grace and Violet McGraw are both bound for the upcoming drama in unspecified roles. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER TRUE CRIME (NBC) - Harry Hamlin has been cast as Barry Levin, "a former LAPD officer turned attorney," on the upcoming installment, "The Menendez Murders." (Deadline.com)
ONE CALL THAT'S ALL (FOX, New!) - Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard ("Guilt") have sold a new drama to the network about "a larger-than-life personal-injury attorney in Atlanta and his huge, highly entertaining family, who all work for him. We're talking siblings, kids, sons-in-law, former stepson, even one of his ex-wives." Lionsgate Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached and is inspired by the life of accident attorney Ken Nugent. Lance Krall, Peter Siaggas and Peter Stathopoulos of Picture It Productions will also executive produce. Nugent himself serves as executive consultant. (Deadline.com)
SCREAM (MTV) - Tyler Posey ("Teen Wolf") has booked a return trip to the cable channel as high school dropout Shane, "a drug dealer and party promoter who is always hustling in order to make money. But beneath that exterior, there's more to Shane than anyone realizes." (THR.com)

TRUMP ANIMATED PROJECT (Showtime) - R.J. Fried has been tapped as showrunner of the upcoming animated series centered on the Trump White House, executive produced by Stephen Colbert. (Deadline.com)
VALLEY GIRLS (ABC, New!) - Ari Berkowitz ("Benched") has sold a new comedy to the Alphabet billed as "a fictional cross-generational show about four women in Silicon Valley fighting to succeed in a male dominated industry." The project is based on Heather Cabot and Samantha Walravens's book "Geek Girl Rising: Inside The Sisterhood Shaking Up Tech." Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos and Albert Bianchini of Milojo Productions and Kristin Newman will executive produce for ABC Studios with Berkowitz as a supervising producer. (Deadline.com)
