POP ANNOUNCES CASTING FOR "ARRANGED" A COMEDY PILOT FROM CBS TELEVISION STUDIOS AND CO-CREATORS/EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS ALINE BROSH MCKENNA AND SONO PATEL

Kiran Deol and Moses Storm Cast in Lead Roles for the Half-Hour Comedy Pilot, Which Is Co-Created, Produced, Directed, Assistant-Directed and Edited by All-Female Team

LOS ANGELES - May 2, 2018 - Kiran Deol ("The Mindy Project," "New Girl") and Moses Storm ("Arrested Development," "Conan") have been cast to star in ARRANGED, a half-hour comedy pilot ordered by Pop TV, which begins shooting this week in Los Angeles.

Deol will play Ash, a sardonic stand-up comedian whose challenging relationship with her overbearing mother forces her into an uncomfortable decision. Storm will play Alex, Ash's confident, offbeat, charming best friend and roommate. In addition to acting, both Deol and Storm have backgrounds as stand-up comedians and tour regularly.

From CBS Television Studios, Aline Brosh McKenna, the co-creator of the critically acclaimed comedy CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, and series writer/producer Sono Patel, ARRANGED is a timely and diverse romantic comedy about two best friends who end up in a marriage of convenience.

McKenna is the co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND and is currently in an overall deal with CBS Television Studios. She created #femalefilmmakerfriday, a hashtag launched to highlight women working behind the camera and inspire the next generation of female filmmakers. ARRANGED is co-created, produced, directed, assistant-directed and edited entirely by women.

Most recently, Patel served as co-producer on the last season of CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, and was named one of Forbes 2018 "30 Under 30" writers to watch. McKenna, an accomplished screenwriter with credits that include "The Devil Wears Prada," is directing the pilot.

Actor Bios:

Kiran Deol

Deol's work as a filmmaker tackles difficult topics with intimacy, poignancy and humor. Deol directed the documentary "Woman Rebel," which was nominated for an Emmy(R), shortlisted for an Oscar(R), and distributed by HBO. She also directed a documentary about her own family's immigration story for Sundance Now entitled "American Haze." Her additional television and film credits include "The Mindy Project," "How to Get Away with Murder," "Modern Family," "New Girl" and "Greatest Ever" on TruTV, and she starred in the independent feature film "Farah Goes Bang," which won the first-ever Nora Ephron prize at Tribeca. Her stand-up credits include "Live At Gotham" and Hulu's "Coming to the Stage."

Deol is represented by Haven, WME, and Cohen Gardner.

Moses Storm

Storm gained a social media following from his viral social experiments that poke fun at his generation's narcissism. Storm's stand-up credits include: "Conan" (late night debut, September 2017), "Last Comic Standing" (finalist, 2015), and he is currently hosting the live show "Up and Up with Moses Storm," produced by Conan O'Brien. His other television and film roles include "Arrested Development" (upcoming season), "Youth & Consequences," a recurring role on the next season of "I'm Dying Up Here," and the feature film "Unfriended."
