Paul stars as "convicted murderer Warren Cave whose guilt or innocence has remained a question in many people's minds for the past 20 years"; with Perkins as Melanie Cave, "mother of Warren Cave, the subject of Poppy's podcast"; Phifer as Markus Knox, "a former detective and long time friend of Poppy Parnell"; Beach as Ingram Rhoades, "a successful attorney and Poppy's husband"; Thoms as Desiree Scoville, "Poppy's older opinionated sister"; Wood as Cydie Scoville, "Poppy's fiercely loyal sister"; and Jones as Leander "Shreve" Scoville, "Poppy's father." CHRISTMAS CONTRACT, THE (Lifetime, New!) - "One Tree Hill" alums Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton are set to re-team for a holiday movie at the cable channel: "it's Jolie's (Burton) first time going back home to Louisiana since her devastating break up with Foster (Hunter Burke). Seeing him is inevitable as their parents run the town's annual Christmas Market together, but when she discovers Foster is bringing home a new girlfriend, Jolie cannot bear the thought of going home alone and seeing them together. Her best friend Naomi (Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring her flaky brother, Jack (Buckley), home for Christmas as he has no plans this year. Jolie, a professional web designer, is hesitant; so, Naomi, a lawyer, creates a Christmas contract to give them both something they want - a buffer for those awkward moments around Jolie's ex and a website to help sell Jack's upcoming novel. Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract proves to be so much more than what they signed up for." Jordan Ladd, Cheryl Ladd, Bruce Boxleitner, Jason London, Teri Wyble and Ritchie Montgomery also star in the Active Entertainment-produced film, which Monika Mitchell is directing from a script by Cassie Doyle with Ken Badish and Daniel Lewis as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

The network may put the show back into production in Connecticut where it shares a home with sibling shows "Maury" and "The Steve Wilkos Show," both of which have been renewed for two more years. (BroadcastingCable.com)
KANSAS CITY (Hulu, New!) - Rafe Spall, John Slattery and Allison Tolman are set to star in a "political, dystopian half-hour comedy" at the streaming service set in "a future where the city is separated by a wall between liberals and conservatives. Absurd misinformation and enmity rage as the two cities aim to undermine each other. In West Kansas City, political heavyweight Ellis Brookmeyer (Slattery) holds sway. His former son-in-law, Ben Graham (Spall), lives in East K.C. and yearns to be reunited with his daughter Clarissa (who lives in West K.C.). To accomplish this Ben gets involved with an East K.C. intelligence operation, with consequences he can not predict, let alone control." Tolman will play Tabatha Brookmeyer. Writer Zev Borow and director Rhys Thomas are behind the project, which has yet to get a formal pilot greenlight but already is in production. Amblin TV and Sony Pictures TV are co-producing with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)

The family drama "follows a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury." Anonymous Content and Paramount Television are behind the project with Joy Gorman Wettels and Sharlene Martin also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
