Witness the Downfall of the Biggest Drug Lord of All Time as "El Chapo" Returns to Univision Network for Final Season
Season Three Will Air Monday-Friday, starting Monday, July 9 at 10 PM ET / PT on Univision Network - Breakout Series Will Continue Airing with English Subtitles
MIAMI, FL - JUNE 13, 2018 - Univision and Story House Entertainment today announced that breakout series "El Chapo" will return for its third and final season on Monday, July 9. The 13-episode season will air Monday through Friday at 10 PM ET / PT on Univision with English subtitles; the No. 1 Spanish-language network broke boundaries by airing the second season with subtitles. Season three will debut globally on Netflix at a later date to be announced. "El Chapo" is co-produced by Story House Entertainment and Netflix.
With his criminal organization functioning better than many legitimate international corporations, he has become one of the most wanted criminals, as elusive as he is powerful-until now. Season three sees El Chapo's alliances within the DEA and Mexican government beginning to fall apart, setting off a chain of events that lead to the kingpin losing his strength, his allies, and ultimately his freedom. Throughout the season viewers bear witness as The Chapo is captured by Mexican authorities, escapes from a maximum security prison, and is ultimately recaptured and extradited. The final season of the ripped-from-the-headlines drama reflects events that take place between 2009 and 2017. Watch a preview here .

Joining the cast of "El Chapo" for season three are Iran Castillo as actress Vanessa Espinoza; Marcela Mar as 'Berta,' an ambitious Congresswoman; ; and Moises Arizmendi as 'President 66.'
Returning in their roles are Marco de la O as El Chapo; Humberto Busto as Attorney Conrado Sol aka "Don Sol," a key political party figure; Laura Osma as Elba, El Chapo's third wife; Diego Vasquez as Ismael, one of El Chapo's most trusted partners; Ivan Arag�n as 'Quino,' El Chapo's son and one of his key lieutenants; Wilmer Cadavid as 'D�maso,' a former deputy warden of a maximum security prison who is a key part of El Chapo's plot to escape prison.
'El Chapo' is created by Silvana Aguirre Zegarra and Carlos Contreras and produced by Daniel Posada. The third season is directed by three talented directors from two countries: Ernesto Contreras (México), Carlos Moreno (Colombia) and Juli�n de Tavira (México).
Leading into the season three premiere on Univision, UniMas will air a marathon of the 12-episode second season on July 7 and 8, both nights from 5 to 11 PM ET/PT. Seasons one and two are also available for streaming on Netflix.
