CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Heather Headley's Gwen Garrett, "the new COO of Chicago Med," will return to recur on the upcoming fourth season. (Deadline.com)
EMPIRE (FOX) - Rhyon Nicole Brown's Maya, "daughter of Cookie's fellow inmate Poundcake," has been promoted to series regular for season five. Additionally, Katlynn Simone and A.Z. Kelsey will recur as Treasure, "a prison social worker whose life is turned around by Cookie when she sees her star potential"; and Jeff Kingsley, "a hotshot, Silicon Valley genius, turned label executive; business wunderkind," respectively. HIT AND RUN (Netflix) - Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin have signed onto drama, in which a happily married man's life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident. They'll co-create the series, which has been given a 10-episode order, alongside Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff. Peter Principato, Itay Reiss and Kimberlin Belloni of Artists First and David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks of Mandeville Films will likewise executive produce. (Deadline.com)
