DIRTY JOHN (Bravo) - Jake Abel and David Barrera are both set to recur on the true crime anthology as Trey, "Debra's oldest child and only son"; and Palmer, "a successful builder and colleague of Debra's who has a good sense of humor," respectively. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Chris Carmack will recur on the upcoming season as "an orthopedic surgeon who comes to work at Grey Sloan Memorial and is known as an 'Ortho God.'" (Deadline.com)
INBETWEEN, THE (NBC) - Matthew Gross has signed a two-year overall deal with Universal Television where he'll join the midseason drama as an executive producer. He'll also develop new series projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)
LESS THAN ZERO (Hulu) - Austin Abrams (Paper Towns) is set to star in the streaming service's small screen take on Bret Easton Ellis's novel of the same name. The project, which has received a pilot order, follows Clay: "Having grown up in the excess and lavish 80s Los Angeles, but unlike all of his friends who stayed behind for college, Clay is in now in his freshman year on the east coast. He returns home for winter break in the pilot and has a complicated relationship with Blair, his high school girlfriend, and is worried about his friend Julian." Andrew McCarthy played said role in the 1987 film. (Deadline.com)
MAGICIANS, THE (Syfy) - Jolene Purdy has booked a recurring role on the series as Shoshana, "a maenad, a bright and highly emotional magical creature tasked with tending to notorious party god Bacchus; she stands as gatekeeper between the deity and an old buddy who desperately seeks him." MIDNIGHT, TEXAS (NBC) - Trace Lysette will guest on the upcoming second season as "a dark witch bearing a shocker for the town's resident good witch." (TVLine.com)
MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A (ABC) - Sam Huntington has been cast in the newcomer as Tom, "a mystery man from Maggie's (Allison Miller) past." (Deadline.com)
ONE DAY AT A TIME (Netflix) - Executive producer Gloria Calderon Kellett will appear on-camera in a two-episode arc as well as direct the final two episodes of season three. She'll play Nicole, "the new woman in Victor's (James Martinez) life who is more similar to Penelope than she is comfortable with." (Deadline.com)
WALL, THE (NBC) - Chris Hardwick, recently reinstated as host of AMC's "Talking Dead" following an investigation into sexual assault allegations, will likewise return to the Peacock's game show. (Deadline.com)
WILDS, THE (Amazon) - Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Reign Edwards and Shannon Berry are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about a group of teenage girls from radically different backgrounds who find themselves stranded on a remote island, unaware that they've just become the subjects of an elaborate social experiment. Healey will play Shelby, "a God-fearing pageant champion from Texas who projects confidence in order to mask her insecurities"; with Howard as Nora, "an enigmatic introvert who will be forced to connect with her fellow castaways"; Edwards as Rachel, "an Olympic-caliber diver who desperately wants to get off the island and resume her athletic career"; and Berry as Dot, "a coolheaded country girl with a thick skin." Y (FX) - Timothy Hutton has been cast as the President of the United States in the pilot, an adaptation of the comic book series "Y: The Last Man." (Deadline.com)
