Another boost for Sky One's "Curfew" as Adam Brody joins supercharged cast

Adam Brody is joining Sky One's exhilarating street race drama Curfew, playing the role of a mysterious megalomaniac millionaire, Max Larssen.

The Sky original production, which follows the story of ordinary people and extraordinary characters competing in the world's fastest, most furious illegal night-time street race, will see Brody (The O.C.) join previously announced cast members Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Adrian Lester (Riviera), Phoebe Fox (Blue Iguana), Malachi Kirby (Roots), Billy Zane (Titanic) and Miranda Richardson (Churchill).

Brody said: "The Curfew scripts came my way and I couldn't stop reading; I loved the outsized personality it had. It's bleak, hopeful, violent, funny and tender all at the same time. It's a joy to work with such a talented group of performers and downright lovely human beings. Max Larssen is unlike any character I've played and it was a thrill to try to access such an intelligent and remote individual."

Also confirmed to star are Harriet Walter (The Crown), Michael Biehn (Aliens), Robert Glenister (Hustle), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Peaky Blinders), Rose Williams (Reign), Elijah Rowen (Vikings) and Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen).

The eight-part series from Tiger Aspect Productions in association with Moonage Pictures will be available exclusively in the UK on Sky One and TV streaming service NOW TV in 2019. Curfew will premiere exclusively in the US on Spectrum Originals in 2019.

Curfew is written and executive produced by Matthew Read (Pusher). The series is executive produced for Tiger Aspect Productions by Will Gould and Frith Tiplady in association with their new independent production company Moonage Pictures. It is directed by Colm McCarthy (The Girl with All the Gifts, Peaky Blinders) and is produced by Simon Maloney (Peaky Blinders).

Curfew was commissioned for Sky by head of drama Anne Mensah and director of programming for Sky Entertainment UK & Ireland Zai Bennett. Sky Vision will handle distribution rights.
