ALL TOGETHER NOW (NBC) - The Bradley Whitford-led single-camera comedy - about a rural church choir that gets the gift it never thought it needed when a salty, Ivy League professor (Whitford) becomes its director - has scored a pilot commitment from the Peacock. Additionally, Adam Anders has been tapped as an executive producer on the 20th Century Fox Television-based project, which is likewise executive produced by Whitford, Jason Winer, Jon Radler and writer Lesley Wake Webster. BATWOMAN (The CW) - Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson and Nicole Kang have all booked roles on the Ruby Rose-led drama pilot, based on the DC Comics character. Tandy will play Sophie Moore, who "after graduating from military academy, Sophie rose through the ranks to become a high-level private security agent and one of Gotham's staunchest protectors." Johnson then is Luke Fox, "a Dark Knight loyalist and son of Wayne's R&D director Lucius Fox, Luke works to keep Wayne Tower secure in his boss's absence." And Kang is Mary Hamilton, "excitable, talkative, and an influencer-in-the-making, Mary is Kate Kane's step-sister and polar opposite." (Deadline.com)
GIRLFRIEND, THE (Freeform, New!) - Writer Jamie Lee and director James Griffiths are set to team for a potential drama at the cable channel about Crystal Chase, "a 30-something toiling away in Bakersfield, California whose life is turned upside down when she finally meets "the one"; too bad "the one" is the prime suspect in his wife's mysterious disappearance." Griffiths will serve as executive producer with Lee co-executive producing for ABC Signature Studios. (Deadline.com)
IZOMBIE (The CW) - Executive producer Rob Thomas indicated on Twitter the show's 71st episode will be its last, putting its final season - premiering May 2 - at 13 installments. (@RobThomas)
LOCKE & KEY (Netflix) - Sherri Saum, Griffin Gluck and Steven Williams have all been cast in the long-in-the-works comics adaptation. Saum will play Ellie Whedon, "a teacher at Matheson Academy who has a mysterious history with the Locke family." Gluck then will play Gabe, "a new boarding student at Matheson Academy who befriends Kinsey Locke"; while Williams will recur as Joe Ridgeway, "an esteemed teacher at Matheson Academy who connects with the newly arrived Locke family." MRS. FLETCHER (HBO) - Jasmine Cephas Jones is bound for the upcoming Kathryn Hahn-led comedy series as Chloe, "an undergraduate who runs a support group for students who have family members with autism." (Deadline.com)
NANCY (CBS, New!) - Paul Attanasio has scored a pilot order from the Eye for a new drama about "when a former high-ranking NYPD officer becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles, she uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to navigate the social, political and national-security issues that converge with enforcing the law." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
OUTSIDER, THE (HBO) - The Ben Mendelsohn-led drama, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, has cast Cynthia Erivo as Holly Gibney; Bill Camp as Howie Gold; Mare Winningham as Jeannie Anderson; Paddy Considine as Claude Bolton; Julianne Nicholson as Mercy Maitland; Yul Vázquez as Yunis Sablo; Jeremy Bobb as Alec Pelley; Marc Menchaca as Jack Hoskins; Hettienne Park as Tomika Collins; and Michael Esper as Bill Samuels. UNDER THE BRIDGE (CBS) - Rina Mimoun's drama - about when a scandal rocks the medical practice she runs with her husband and their friends, a surgeon rises to the occasion and takes the lead in trying to mend both the practice and her own marriage - is the latest heading to pilot at the Eye. Said effort is set up at the CBS Television Studios-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television. (Deadline.com)
WHISKEY CAVALIER (ABC) - Marika Dominczyk and Christa Miller have both signed on for roles on the midseason drama. Dominczyk, wife of star Scott Foley, will play Martyna "Tina" Marek, "a sexy, tough-as-nails mercenary who collides with Team Whiskey during a harrowing mission in Eastern Europe." Miller, wife of executive producer Bill Lawrence, then is set as Kelly Ashland, "a close friend of Frankie's (Lauren Cohan) family who stepped in after the death of her parents." (Deadline.com)
