CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Alberto Rosende is bound for the veteran drama in the recurring role of Blake Gallo, "a young firefighter who loves his job and joins Firehouse 51 as the CFD expands the number of firefighters on second shift." (Deadline.com)
DAISY JONES & THE SIX (Amazon) - Jenny Klein has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios. As part of the pact, she'll join the aforementioned series as a co-executive producer, as well as develop her own series projects. (Deadline.com)
DARE ME (USA) - Adrian Walters and Amanda Brugel have both scored recurring roles on the newcomer as Tibbs, "who has been a Marine for a few years now, but still has a baby face and a boyish demeanor"; and Faith Hanlon, "Addy's (Herizen Guardiola) grounded and very loving single mother." (Deadline.com)
FLIRTY DANCING (FOX) - The network has ordered its domestic take on the U.K. dating and dancing format to series. Second Star and All3Media America are behind the U.S. take, which was ordered to pilot earlier this year. Deborah Sargeant, Tamsin Dodgson and Jilly Pearce are executive producing. (Deadline.com)
ON MY BLOCK (Netflix) - Julio Macias, who plays Oscar "Spooky" Diaz, has been promoted to regular for the series' upcoming third season. (Deadline.com)
PARADISE HOTEL (FOX) - The network has pulled the plug on the revival series, which wrapped its five-week run in June. "We were very proud of 'Paradise Hotel' but ultimately it was designed to air over many, many hours, and we started it relatively short, three times a week," FOX's Rob Wade said. "We felt it didn't quite perform at the level we wanted it to perform, and if we are going to get the opportunity to try a new show, we have to have the space. But we were very happy with the show, it was a great show and highly entertaining, and the production company did a great job." (Deadline.com)
SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Emily Swallow has landed a recurring role on the show's third season as Dr. Natalie Pierce, "a Research Physiologist working for the NHRC Department of Warfighter Performance who's assigned to DEVGRU (and Bravo Team) to increase the SEALs' operational longevity, a job she's undeniably brilliant at. Brimming with raw intelligence and capability, she's unintimidated by the 'alpha male' environment her role places her in, and totally devoted to her mission of keeping these men on the battlefield." (Deadline.com)
SPELLMAN FILES, THE (FOX, New!) - FOX Entertainment is developing a potential drama based on Lisa Lutz's book series, about "a close-knit family of private investigators who are intensely suspicious and spend much time investigating each other." The search is underway for a writer to spearhead the adaptation. Writer Katie Lovejoy and director Greg Yaitanes were behind a previous attempt at an adaptation in 2010 for ABC. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED 24 PROJECT (FOX) - The network is "still having discussions with 20th Century Fox TV and the producers on a way to come up with some other incarnation" of the real-time franchise. Previous efforts included a prequel series and a legal thriller. (Deadline.com)
WHY WOMEN KILL (CBAA) - Li Jun Li has snagged a recurring role on the series as Amy, "Simone's (Lucy Liu) privileged daughter who lives life full throttle. Amy is shattered by her fiancé's past indiscretion. Will she come to her senses or will a cigarette, a bottle of wine and the cute younger guy down the street change things?" (Deadline.com)
